「你自幼就勤練符咒和五花八門的邪術，繼續施展吧！也許會有用處，也許會令人害怕。眾多的計謀使你疲憊不堪，讓那些觀天象、每月說預言的占星家來救你脫離將臨的災禍吧！

你們要燒毀他們的神像，不可貪圖神像上的金銀，不可將那些金銀據為己有，免得你們因此陷入網羅；因為那是你們的上帝耶和華所憎惡的。不可把可憎之物帶到家裡，否則你們會像它們一樣被毀滅。你們要極其憎惡、厭棄它們，因為它們是當毀滅之物。

「同樣，你們若不撇下一切，就不能作我的門徒。

他還在欣嫩子谷把自己的兒子燒死，獻作祭物。他行巫術、占卜、觀兆，求問靈媒和巫師。他做了許多耶和華視為惡的事，惹耶和華發怒。

到那日，眾人必把造來敬拜的金銀偶像丟給田鼠和蝙蝠。耶和華使大地震動的時候，眾人必躲進山洞和岩縫，逃避祂的憤怒和威榮。

有人讓你們去求問那些念念有詞的巫師和術士，你們不要去。你們要去求問你們的上帝，活人的事怎能求問死人呢？
