時有遊行各處、誦咒驅魔之數猶太人、遇惡魔所憑者、試呼主耶穌名、曰、我藉保羅所傳之耶穌命爾出、

時有猶太人遊行各處、誦咒祛鬼、向中魔者擅稱主耶穌之名曰：『予奉葆樂所傳之耶穌、敕汝等出。』

Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were demon- possessed. They would say,“ In the name of the Jesus whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out.”

Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists undertook to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying,“ I adjure you by the Jesus whom Paul proclaims.”

A group of Jews was traveling from town to town casting out evil spirits. They tried to use the name of the Lord Jesus in their incantation, saying,“ I command you in the name of Jesus, whom Paul preaches, to come out!”

Now some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists also attempted to pronounce the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying,“ I command you by the Jesus that Paul preaches!”

Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying,“ We exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches.”

But certain also of the strolling Jews, exorcists, took upon them to name over them that had the evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, I adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.

Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists attempted to pronounce the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying,“ I command you by the Jesus that Paul preaches!”

Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.

But some itinerant Jewish exorcists tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were possessed by evil spirits, saying,“ I sternly warn you by Jesus whom Paul preaches.”

But some of the itinerant Jews, exorcists, took on themselves to invoke over those who had the evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying,“ We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preaches.”

And if by Beelzebul I cast out the demons, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore, they will be your judges.

John said to Him,“ Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we tried to prevent him because he was not following us.”

Yet if by Beelzebul I cast out the demons, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore, they will be your judges.

But Jesus kept silent. And the high priest said to Him,“ I place You under oath by the living God, to tell us whether You are the Christ, the Son of God.”

and shouting with a loud voice, he* said,“ What business do You have with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God, do not torment me!”

Then Joshua made them take an oath at that time, saying,“ Cursed before the Lord is the man who rises up and builds this city Jericho; with the loss of his firstborn he will lay its foundation, and with the loss of his youngest son he will set up its gates.”

Now when Simon saw that the Spirit was given through the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he offered them money,saying,“ Give this authority to me as well, so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.”

John answered and said,“ Master, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name; and we tried to prevent him, because he does not follow along with us.”

Now the men of Israel were hard pressed on that day, for Saul had put the people under oath, saying,“ Cursed be the man who eats food before evening, and before I have avenged myself on my enemies.” So none of the people tasted food.

Then the king said to him,“ How many times must I make you swear that you will tell me nothing but the truth in the name of the Lord?”

When you cultivate the ground, it will no longer yield its strength to you; you will be a wanderer and a drifter on the earth.”

Behold, You have driven me this day from the face of the ground; and I will be hidden from Your face, and I will be a wanderer and a drifter on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.”

May his children wander about and beg; And may they seek sustenance far from their ruined homes.
