The following night, the Lord stood by him and said,“ Cheer up, Paul, for as you have testified about me at Jerusalem, so you must testify also at Rome.”

For there stood by me this night an angel, belonging to the God whose I am and whom I serve,saying,‘ Don’t be afraid, Paul. You must stand before Caesar. Behold, God has granted you all those who sail with you.’Therefore, sirs, cheer up! For I believe God, that it will be just as it has been spoken to me.

You, son of man, don’t be afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you, and you dwell among scorpions. Don’t be afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house.You shall speak my words to them, whether they will hear, or whether they will refuse; for they are most rebellious.But you, son of man, hear what I tell you. Don’t be rebellious like that rebellious house. Open your mouth, and eat that which I give you.”

It is doubtless not profitable for me to boast. For I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.I know a man in Christ, fourteen years ago( whether in the body, I don’t know, or whether out of the body, I don’t know; God knows), such a one caught up into the third heaven.I know such a man( whether in the body, or outside of the body, I don’t know; God knows),

on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in opening my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the Good News,for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

A vision appeared to Paul in the night. There was a man of Macedonia standing, begging him, and saying,“ Come over into Macedonia and help us.”

But as for me, I am full of power by Yahweh’s Spirit, and of judgment, and of might, to declare to Jacob his disobedience, and to Israel his sin.

but having suffered before and been shamefully treated, as you know, at Philippi, we grew bold in our God to tell you the Good News of God in much conflict.

“ Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and preach to it the message that I give you.”

“ You therefore put your belt on your waist, arise, and say to them all that I command you. Don’t be dismayed at them, lest I dismay you before them.

“ Cry aloud! Don’t spare! Lift up your voice like a trumpet! Declare to my people their disobedience, and to the house of Jacob their sins.

and saw him saying to me,‘ Hurry and get out of Jerusalem quickly, because they will not receive testimony concerning me from you.’

I have made your forehead as a diamond, harder than flint. Don’t be afraid of them, neither be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house.”Moreover he said to me,“ Son of man, receive in your heart and hear with your ears all my words that I speak to you.Go to them of the captivity, to the children of your people, and speak to them, and tell them,‘ This is what the Lord Yahweh says,’ whether they will hear, or whether they will refuse.
