One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision:“ Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent.

One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision.“ Don’t be afraid,” he said.“ Keep on speaking. Don’t be silent.

And the Lord said unto Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak and hold not thy peace:

The following night the Lord stood near Paul and said,“ Take courage! As you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome.”

Last night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve stood beside meand said,‘ Do not be afraid, Paul. You must stand trial before Caesar; and God has graciously given you the lives of all who sail with you.’So keep up your courage, men, for I have faith in God that it will happen just as he told me.

And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them or their words. Do not be afraid, though briers and thorns are all around you and you live among scorpions. Do not be afraid of what they say or be terrified by them, though they are a rebellious people.You must speak my words to them, whether they listen or fail to listen, for they are rebellious.But you, son of man, listen to what I say to you. Do not rebel like that rebellious people; open your mouth and eat what I give you.”

I must go on boasting. Although there is nothing to be gained, I will go on to visions and revelations from the Lord.I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know— God knows.And I know that this man— whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, but God knows—

Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel,for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

During the night Paul had a vision of a man of Macedonia standing and begging him,“ Come over to Macedonia and help us.”

But as for me, I am filled with power, with the Spirit of the Lord, and with justice and might, to declare to Jacob his transgression, to Israel his sin.

We had previously suffered and been treated outrageously in Philippi, as you know, but with the help of our God we dared to tell you his gospel in the face of strong opposition.

“ Go to the great city of Nineveh and proclaim to it the message I give you.”

“ Get yourself ready! Stand up and say to them whatever I command you. Do not be terrified by them, or I will terrify you before them.

“ Shout it aloud, do not hold back. Raise your voice like a trumpet. Declare to my people their rebellion and to the descendants of Jacob their sins.

and saw the Lord speaking to me.‘ Quick!’ he said.‘ Leave Jerusalem immediately, because the people here will not accept your testimony about me.’

I will make your forehead like the hardest stone, harder than flint. Do not be afraid of them or terrified by them, though they are a rebellious people.”And he said to me,“ Son of man, listen carefully and take to heart all the words I speak to you.Go now to your people in exile and speak to them. Say to them,‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says,’ whether they listen or fail to listen.”
