But when they opposed Paul and became abusive, he shook out his clothes in protest and said to them,“ Your blood be on your own heads! I am innocent of it. From now on I will go to the Gentiles.”

But they opposed Paul. They treated him badly. So he shook out his clothes in protest. Then he said to them,“ God’s judgment against you will be your own fault! Don’t blame me for it! From now on I will go to the Gentiles.”

And when they opposed and reviled him, he shook out his garments and said to them,“ Your blood be on your own heads! I am innocent. From now on I will go to the Gentiles.”

But when they opposed and insulted him, Paul shook the dust from his clothes and said,“ Your blood is upon your own heads— I am innocent. From now on I will go preach to the Gentiles.”

When they resisted and blasphemed, he shook out his clothes and told them,“ Your blood is on your own heads! I am innocent. From now on I will go to the Gentiles.”

but there is one who hears the sound of the trumpet yet does not heed the warning. Then the sword comes and sweeps him away. He will be responsible for his own death.

David said to him,“ Your blood be on your own head! Your own mouth has testified against you, saying‘ I have put the LORD’s anointed to death.’”

engages in usury and charges interest. Will he live? He will not! Because he has done all these abominable deeds he will certainly die. He will bear the responsibility for his own death.

So after they shook the dust off their feet in protest against them, they went to Iconium.

When I say to the wicked,‘ O wicked man, you must certainly die,’ and you do not warn the wicked about his behavior, the wicked man will die for his iniquity, but I will hold you accountable for his death.But if you warn the wicked man to change his behavior, and he refuses to change, he will die for his iniquity, but you have saved your own life.

I also shook out my garment, and I said,“ In this way may God shake out from his house and his property every person who does not carry out this matter. In this way may he be shaken out and emptied!” All the assembly replied,“ So be it!” and they praised the LORD. Then the people did as they had promised.

When I say to the wicked,“ You will certainly die,” and you do not warn him– you do not speak out to warn the wicked to turn from his wicked deed and wicked lifestyle so that he may live– that wicked person will die for his iniquity, but I will hold you accountable for his death.But as for you, if you warn the wicked and he does not turn from his wicked deed and from his wicked lifestyle, he will die for his iniquity but you will have saved your own life.

correcting opponents with gentleness. Perhaps God will grant them repentance and then knowledge of the truth

So they are astonished when you do not rush with them into the same flood of wickedness, and they vilify you.

In reply all the people said,“ Let his blood be on us and on our children!”

Or is God the God of the Jews only? Is he not the God of the Gentiles too? Yes, of the Gentiles too!

But whenever you enter a town and the people do not welcome you, go into its streets and say,‘ Even the dust of your town that clings to our feet we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this: The kingdom of God has come.’

They also said many other things against him, reviling him.

Wherever they do not receive you, as you leave that town, shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.”

What shall we say then?– that the Gentiles who did not pursue righteousness obtained it, that is, a righteousness that is by faith,but Israel even though pursuing a law of righteousness did not attain it.Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but( as if it were possible) by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone,just as it is written,“ Look, I am laying in Zion a stone that will cause people to stumble and a rock that will make them fall, yet the one who believes in him will not be put to shame.”

For you became imitators, brothers and sisters, of God’s churches in Christ Jesus that are in Judea, because you too suffered the same things from your own countrymen as they in fact did from the Jews,who killed both the Lord Jesus and the prophets and persecuted us severely. They are displeasing to God and are opposed to all people,because they hinder us from speaking to the Gentiles so that they may be saved. Thus they constantly fill up their measure of sins, but wrath has come upon them completely.

But when some were stubborn and refused to believe, reviling the Way before the congregation, he left them and took the disciples with him, addressing them every day in the lecture hall of Tyrannus.This went on for two years, so that all who lived in the province of Asia, both Jews and Greeks, heard the word of the Lord.

For this reason I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit.

If a man has sexual intercourse with his father’s wife, he has exposed his father’s nakedness. Both of them must be put to death; their blood guilt is on themselves.If a man has sexual intercourse with his daughter-in-law, both of them must be put to death. They have committed perversion; their blood guilt is on themselves.

As he also says in Hosea:“ I will call those who were not my people,‘ My people,’ and I will call her who was unloved,‘ My beloved.’”“ And in the very place where it was said to them,‘ You are not my people,’ there they will be called‘ sons of the living God.’”

Do not lay hands on anyone hastily and so identify with the sins of others. Keep yourself pure.

But when the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy, and they began to contradict what Paul was saying by reviling him.Both Paul and Barnabas replied courageously,“ It was necessary to speak the word of God to you first. Since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy of eternal life, we are turning to the Gentiles.For this is what the Lord has commanded us:‘ I have appointed you to be a light for the Gentiles, to bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’”

I punished them often in all the synagogues and tried to force them to blaspheme. Because I was so furiously enraged at them, I went to persecute them even in foreign cities.

“ Therefore be advised that this salvation from God has been sent to the Gentiles; they will listen!”

If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory, who is the Spirit of God, rests on you.

I ask then, they did not stumble into an irrevocable fall, did they? Absolutely not! But by their transgression salvation has come to the Gentiles, to make Israel jealous.Now if their transgression means riches for the world and their defeat means riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their full restoration bring?Now I am speaking to you Gentiles. Seeing that I am an apostle to the Gentiles, I magnify my ministry,if somehow I could provoke my people to jealousy and save some of them.For if their rejection is the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?

But you have dishonored the poor! Are not the rich oppressing you and dragging you into the courts?Do they not blaspheme the good name of the one you belong to?

“‘ If anyone curses his father and mother he must be put to death. He has cursed his father and mother; his blood guilt is on himself.

but I declared to those in Damascus first, and then to those in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, performing deeds consistent with repentance.

And if anyone will not welcome you or listen to your message, shake the dust off your feet as you leave that house or that town.

I tell you, many will come from the east and west to share the banquet with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven,

And those slaves went out into the streets and gathered all they found, both bad and good, and the wedding hall was filled with guests.

For there is no distinction between the Jew and the Greek, for the same Lord is Lord of all, who richly blesses all who call on him.For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

Therefore I declare to you today that I am innocent of the blood of you all.For I did not hold back from announcing to you the whole purpose of God.
