But they opposed Paul. They treated him badly. So he shook out his clothes in protest. Then he said to them,“ God’s judgment against you will be your own fault! Don’t blame me for it! From now on I will go to the Gentiles.”

And when they opposed and reviled him, he shook out his garments and said to them,“ Your blood be on your own heads! I am innocent. From now on I will go to the Gentiles.”

But when they opposed and insulted him, Paul shook the dust from his clothes and said,“ Your blood is upon your own heads— I am innocent. From now on I will go preach to the Gentiles.”

Then, if anyone hears the sound of the ram’s horn but ignores the warning, and the sword comes and takes him away, his death will be his own fault.

For David had said to the Amalekite,“ Your blood is on your own head because your own mouth testified against you by saying,‘ I killed the LORD’s anointed.’”

and lends at interest or for profit, will he live? He will not live! Since he has committed all these detestable acts, he will certainly die. His death will be his own fault.

But Paul and Barnabas shook the dust off their feet against them and went to Iconium.

If I say to the wicked,‘ Wicked one, you will surely die,’ but you do not speak out to warn him about his way, that wicked person will die for his iniquity, yet I will hold you responsible for his blood.But if you warn a wicked person to turn from his way and he doesn’t turn from it, he will die for his iniquity, but you will have rescued yourself.

I also shook the folds of my robe and said,“ May God likewise shake from his house and property everyone who doesn’t keep this promise. May he be shaken out and have nothing!” The whole assembly said,“ Amen,” and they praised the LORD. Then the people did as they had promised.

If I say to the wicked person,‘ You will surely die,’ but you do not warn him— you don’t speak out to warn him about his wicked way in order to save his life— that wicked person will die for his iniquity. Yet I will hold you responsible for his blood.But if you warn a wicked person and he does not turn from his wickedness or his wicked way, he will die for his iniquity, but you will have rescued yourself.

instructing his opponents with gentleness. Perhaps God will grant them repentance leading them to the knowledge of the truth.

They are surprised that you don’t join them in the same flood of wild living— and they slander you.

All the people answered,“ His blood be on us and on our children!”

Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too,

When you enter any town, and they don’t welcome you, go out into its streets and say,‘ We are wiping off even the dust of your town that clings to our feet as a witness against you. Know this for certain: The kingdom of God has come near.’

And they were saying many other blasphemous things to him.

If they do not welcome you, when you leave that town, shake off the dust from your feet as a testimony against them.”

What should we say then? Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained righteousness— namely the righteousness that comes from faith.But Israel, pursuing the law of righteousness, has not achieved the righteousness of the law.Why is that? Because they did not pursue it by faith, but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone.As it is written, Look, I am putting a stone in Zion to stumble over and a rock to trip over, and the one who believes on him will not be put to shame.

For you, brothers and sisters, became imitators of God’s churches in Christ Jesus that are in Judea, since you have also suffered the same things from people of your own country, just as they did from the Jewswho killed the Lord Jesus and the prophets and persecuted us. They displease God and are hostile to everyone,by keeping us from speaking to the Gentiles so that they may be saved. As a result, they are constantly filling up their sins to the limit, and wrath has overtaken them at last.

But when some became hardened and would not believe, slandering the Way in front of the crowd, he withdrew from them, taking the disciples, and conducted discussions every day in the lecture hall of Tyrannus.This went on for two years, so that all the residents of Asia, both Jews and Greeks, heard the word of the Lord.

Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people producing its fruit.

If a man sleeps with his father’s wife, he has violated the intimacy that belongs to his father. Both of them must be put to death; their death is their own fault.If a man sleeps with his daughter-in-law, both of them must be put to death. They have acted perversely; their death is their own fault.

As it also says in Hosea, I will call Not My People, My People, and she who is Unloved, Beloved.And it will be in the place where they were told, you are not my people, there they will be called sons of the living God.

Don’t be too quick to appoint anyone as an elder, and don’t share in the sins of others. Keep yourself pure.

But when the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy and began to contradict what Paul was saying, insulting him.Paul and Barnabas boldly replied,“ It was necessary that the word of God be spoken to you first. Since you reject it and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, we are turning to the Gentiles.For this is what the Lord has commanded us: I have made you a light for the Gentiles to bring salvation to the ends of the earth.”

In all the synagogues I often punished them and tried to make them blaspheme. Since I was terribly enraged at them, I pursued them even to foreign cities.

Therefore, let it be known to you that this salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles; they will listen.”

If you are ridiculed for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.

I ask, then, have they stumbled so as to fall? Absolutely not! On the contrary, by their transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel jealous.Now if their transgression brings riches for the world, and their failure riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their fullness bring!Now I am speaking to you Gentiles. Insofar as I am an apostle to the Gentiles, I magnify my ministry,if I might somehow make my own people jealous and save some of them.For if their rejection brings reconciliation to the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead?

Yet you have dishonored the poor. Don’t the rich oppress you and drag you into court?Don’t they blaspheme the good name that was invoked over you?

“ If anyone curses his father or mother, he must be put to death. He has cursed his father or mother; his death is his own fault.

Instead, I preached to those in Damascus first, and to those in Jerusalem and in all the region of Judea, and to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works worthy of repentance.

If anyone does not welcome you or listen to your words, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that house or town.

I tell you that many will come from east and west to share the banquet with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.

So those servants went out on the roads and gathered everyone they found, both evil and good. The wedding banquet was filled with guests.

since there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, because the same Lord of all richly blesses all who call on him.For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

Therefore I declare to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all of you,because I did not avoid declaring to you the whole plan of God.
