因为他在公众面前极力驳倒犹太人，引圣经证明耶稣是基督。

因此我被耶和华的愤怒充满，难以忍受。“你要把它倒在街上孩童和成群的年轻人身上，他们连夫带妻，年长者与高龄的人都必被擒拿。

不论犹太人和希腊人，我都已证明他们当在上帝面前悔改，信靠我们的主耶稣。

原来基督的爱激励我们；因我们这样断定，一人既替众人死，众人就都死了；

于是灵将我举起，带着我走。我就去了，十分苦恼，我的灵火热；耶和华的手重重地按在我身上。

但扫罗越发有能力，驳倒住在大马士革的犹太人，证明耶稣是基督。

因为我满怀言语，我里面的灵激动我。看哪，我的肚腹如酒囊没有气孔，又如新皮袋快要破裂。我要说话，使我舒畅；我要张开嘴唇回答。

我若说：“我不再提耶和华，也不再奉他的名讲论”，我心里便觉得似乎有烧着的火闷在我骨中，我忍受不住，不能自禁。

故此，以色列全家当确实知道，你们钉在十字架上的这位耶稣，上帝已经立他为主，为基督了。”

我处在两难之间：我情愿离世与基督同在，因为这是好得无比的；

于是，弟兄们立刻送保罗到海边去，西拉和提摩太却仍留在庇哩亚。护送保罗的人带他到了雅典，他们领了保罗的命令，叫西拉和提摩太赶快到他那里来，然后回去了。保罗在雅典等候他们的时候，看见满城都是偶像，就心里非常难过。

你们自己可以为我作见证，我曾说，我不是基督，只是奉差遣在他前面开路的。

夜间，有异象向保罗显现。有一个马其顿人站着求他说：“请你过来，到马其顿来帮助我们！”

那时，使徒、长老和全教会认为应从他们中间拣选人，差他们和保罗、巴拿巴一同到安提阿去，所拣选的就是称为巴撒巴的犹大和西拉。这二人在弟兄中是领袖。

于是差派我们在基督福音上作上帝同工的弟兄提摩太前去，在你们所信的道上坚固你们，劝勉你们，

他先找到自己的哥哥西门，对他说：“我们遇见弥赛亚了。”（“弥赛亚”翻出来就是基督。）

你们也要作见证，因为你们从起初就与我同在。”

我简单地写了这信，托我所看为忠心的弟兄西拉交给你们，劝勉你们，又证明这恩是上帝真实的恩典；你们务要在这恩上站立得住。

他吩咐我们传道给众人，证明他是上帝所立定，要作审判活人、死人的审判者。

犹太人围着他，对他说：“你让我们犹豫不定到几时呢？你若是基督，就明白地告诉我们。”

你当知道，当明白，从发出命令恢复并重建耶路撒冷，直到受膏的君出现，必有七个七和六十二个七。耶路撒冷城连街带濠都必在艰难中恢复并重建。过了六十二个七，那受膏者被剪除，一无所有；必有一王的百姓来毁灭这城和圣所，它的结局必如洪水冲没。必有战争，一直到末了，荒凉的事已经定了。

我有当受的洗还没有受，在这事完成之前，我是多么地焦急！

至于我，我藉耶和华的灵，满有能力、公平和勇气，可以向雅各述说他的过犯，向以色列指出他的罪恶。

我们所看见所听见的，我们不能不说。”

后来，保罗来到特庇，又到路司得。在那里有一个门徒，名叫提摩太，是信主的犹太妇人的儿子，他父亲却是希腊人。
