So the Spirit lifted me up and took me away; and I went embittered in the rage of my spirit, and the hand of the Lord was strong on me.

But I am hard pressed from both directions, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better;

Then immediately the brothers sent Paul out to go as far as the sea; and Silas and Timothy remained there.Now those who escorted Paul brought him as far as Athens; and receiving a command for Silas and Timothy to come to him as soon as possible, they left.Now while Paul was waiting for them in Athens, his spirit was being provoked within him as he observed that the city was full of idols.

and we sent Timothy, our brother and God’s fellow worker in the gospel of Christ, to strengthen and encourage you for the benefit of your faith,

He first* found his own brother Simon and* said to him,“ We have found the Messiah”( which translated means Christ).

and you are testifying as well, because you have been with Me from the beginning.

Through Silvanus, our faithful brother( for so I regard him), I have written to you briefly, exhorting and testifying that this is the true grace of God. Stand firm in it!

And He ordered us to preach to the people, and to testify solemnly that this is the One who has been appointed by God as Judge of the living and the dead.

The Jews then surrounded Him and began saying to Him,“ How long will You keep us in suspense? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly.”

And its end will come with a flood; even to the end there will be war; desolations are determined.

But I have a baptism to undergo, and how distressed I am until it is accomplished!

On the other hand, I am filled with power— With the Spirit of the Lord— And with justice and courage To make known to Jacob his rebellious act, And to Israel his sin.

for we cannot stop speaking about what we have seen and heard.”
