但扫罗越发有能力，驳倒住大马士革的犹太人，证明耶稣是基督。

因为我的言语满怀；我里面的灵激动我。我的胸怀如盛酒之囊没有出气之缝，又如新皮袋快要破裂。我要说话，使我舒畅；我要开口回答。

我若说：我不再提耶和华，也不再奉他的名讲论，我便心里觉得似乎有烧着的火闭塞在我骨中，我就含忍不住，不能自禁。

“故此，以色列全家当确实地知道，你们钉在十字架上的这位耶稣，神已经立他为主，为基督了。”

我正在两难之间，情愿离世与基督同在，因为这是好得无比的。

当时弟兄们便打发保罗往海边去，西拉和提摩太仍住在庇哩亚。送保罗的人带他到了雅典，既领了保罗的命，叫西拉和提摩太速速到他这里来，就回去了。保罗在雅典等候他们的时候，看见满城都是偶像，就心里着急；

我曾说：‘我不是基督，是奉差遣在他前面的’，你们自己可以给我作见证。

在夜间有异象现与保罗。有一个马其顿人站着求他说：“请你过到马其顿来帮助我们。”

那时，使徒和长老并全教会定意从他们中间拣选人，差他们和保罗、巴拿巴同往安提阿去；所拣选的就是称呼巴撒巴的犹大和西拉。这两个人在弟兄中是作首领的。

打发我们的兄弟在基督福音上作神执事的提摩太前去，坚固你们，并在你们所信的道上劝慰你们，

他先找着自己的哥哥西门，对他说：“我们遇见弥赛亚了。”（“弥赛亚”翻出来就是“基督”。）

你们也要作见证，因为你们从起头就与我同在。”

我略略地写了这信，托我所看为忠心的兄弟西拉转交你们，劝勉你们，又证明这恩是神的真恩。你们务要在这恩上站立得住。

他吩咐我们传道给众人，证明他是神所立定的，要作审判活人、死人的主。

犹太人围着他，说：“你叫我们犹疑不定到几时呢？你若是基督，就明明地告诉我们。”

你当知道，当明白，从出令重新建造耶路撒冷，直到有受膏君的时候，必有七个七和六十二个七。正在艰难的时候，耶路撒冷城连街带濠都必重新建造。过了六十二个七，那受膏者必被剪除，一无所有；必有一王的民来毁灭这城和圣所，至终必如洪水冲没。必有争战，一直到底，荒凉的事已经定了。

我有当受的洗还没有成就，我是何等地迫切呢？

至于我，我藉耶和华的灵，满有力量、公平、才能，可以向雅各说明他的过犯，向以色列指出他的罪恶。

我们所看见所听见的，不能不说。”

保罗来到特庇，又到路司得。在那里有一个门徒，名叫提摩太，是信主之犹太妇人的儿子，他父亲却是希腊人。
