人若有意志要遵行上帝的旨意，就會知道那關於這教訓的事：是出於上帝呢，還是我憑着自己講的。

誰都別自欺了！你們中間若有人自以為在今世有智慧，他就應當變為愚拙，好成為有智慧。

智慧人聽了，可以增長心得；明達人聽了，可以獲得技能，

就開始從摩西、從眾神言人起、把全部經典裏所記關於自己的事、都給他們解釋了。

也替我求，使我在開口時、得到適當的話語，可以放膽無懼播知福音的奧祕（為了這個、我做帶鎖鍊的大使），使我在這上頭放膽無懼、照所應該講的來講。

他們便和保羅定了一個日子，就有許多人到寓所來、受他招待。保羅從早到晚對他們講解，透徹證明上帝之國，不但引了摩西的律法書、也引了神言人的書、將耶穌的事勸導他們相信。

你們要在我們的主拯救者耶穌基督的恩惠和知識上有長進。願榮耀歸於他，不但在今時、也在永恆之日！

若有人自以為知道了甚麼，他還沒有按所應當知道的而知道呢。

你要傾耳聽我的話語，留心於我的知識。因為你若心中存記着，嘴裏一味準備着說出，那是令人愉快的；

他說：『除非有人領導我，怎能呢？』就請腓利上車，和他同坐。

於是二人繼續住了好久，靠着主放膽講論；主為自己恩惠之道作見證，賜神迹奇事，藉着他們的手行了出來。

所以我們應當離開基督開端之道，向前推進到完全長大的程度，不必再立下改悔死行為和信靠上帝等根基：

這個人曾經在主的道路上受訓練，他心靈火熱，將關於耶穌的事詳確地講論、教訓人，卻單單曉得約翰的洗禮。

眼睛不能對手說：『我不需要你』；頭也不能對腳說：『我不需要你』。

我實在告訴你們，凡不像小孩子接受上帝國的，一定不能進入。』

智慧人的勸責在聽從的人耳中、如金耳環或黃金的妝飾品。

『你要張開喉嚨來喊叫，別留餘力哦！要揚起聲來、像號角聲一樣；要向我人民宣佈他們的過犯，向雅各家指明他們的罪。
