But as he left, he promised,“ I will come back if it is God’s will.” Then he set sail from Ephesus.

As he left, he made them a promise.“ If God wants me to,” he said,“ I will come back.” Then he sailed from Ephesus.

But on taking leave of them he said,“ I will return to you if God wills,” and he set sail from Ephesus.

Instead you ought to say,“ If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.”

But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord wills, and I will know, not the word of those who are puffed up, but the power.

For Paul had decided to sail past Ephesus, so that he would not have to spend time in Asia; for he was hurrying to be at Jerusalem, if possible, on the Day of Pentecost.

that I may come to you with joy by the will of God, and may be refreshed together with you.

making request if, by some means, now at last I may find a way in the will of God to come to you.

And this we will do if God permits.

And another also said,“ Lord, I will follow You, but let me first go and bid them farewell who are at my house.”

For I do not wish to see you now on the way; but I hope to stay a while with you, if the Lord permits.

When these things were accomplished, Paul purposed in the Spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying,“ After I have been there, I must also see Rome.”

But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you shortly, that I also may be encouraged when I know your state.For I have no one like-minded, who will sincerely care for your state.For all seek their own, not the things which are of Christ Jesus.But you know his proven character, that as a son with his father he served with me in the gospel.Therefore I hope to send him at once, as soon as I see how it goes with me.But I trust in the Lord that I myself shall also come shortly.

that you abstain from things offered to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality. If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well. Farewell.

“ Observe the month of Abib, and keep the Passover to the Lord your God, for in the month of Abib the Lord your God brought you out of Egypt by night.

He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying,“ O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.”

For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.

So when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying,“ The will of the Lord be done.”

Finally, brethren, farewell. Become complete. Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.
