But as he left, he promised,“ I will come back if it is God’s will.” Then he set sail from Ephesus.

寧言若主有旨、我儕且生、行此行彼、

如主許之、我必速就爾、非欲知自矜者之言、乃其能耳、

蓋保羅曾定意航海過以弗所、免久留於亞西亞、乃速行、庶於五旬節、至耶路撒冷也、○

致循上帝旨、欣然就爾、偕爾獲安、

祈禱間、所恆求者、庶依上帝旨、終得坦途就爾、

儻上帝許之、我則行此、

又一人曰、主、我將從爾、但容我先別家人、

今我不欲途間見爾、若主許之、則望與爾偕居幾時耳、

既竟此事、保羅定意經馬其頓、亞該亞、往耶路撒冷、曰、至彼後、我亦必見羅馬矣、

我緣主耶穌冀速遣提摩太就爾、俾知爾事、而慰我心、蓋我無同心之人、誠慮爾事、因眾惟己是謀、非耶穌基督之事也、爾知提摩太之徵驗、即與我共役於福音、猶子之於父、故視我事如何、冀即遣之、且我賴主冀亦速往、

即戒祭像之物及血、並勒死之牲與淫、爾若戒此、則善矣、願爾安康、○

屆亞筆月、必為爾上帝耶和華守逾越節、因於是月之夜、爾上帝耶和華導爾出埃及、

少進、俯伏祈禱曰、我父歟、若或能之、則令此杯去我、雖然、非從我所欲、乃從爾所欲也、

若為上帝之旨、則爾行善受苦、愈於行惡受苦矣、

既不受勸、我儕則止、曰、主旨得成矣、○

餘則問諸兄弟安、願爾完全安慰、同心輯和、則仁愛平康之上帝必偕爾、
