从此，彼拉多想要释放耶稣，无奈犹太人喊着说：“你若释放这个人，你就不是凯撒的忠臣。凡自立为王的就是背叛凯撒。”

竟传布我们罗马人所不可接受、不可遵守的规矩。”

请王知道，从王那里上到我们这里的犹太人，已经抵达耶路撒冷。他们正在重建这反叛恶劣的城，已经完成了城墙，正要修复根基。如今请王知道，这城若再建造，城墙完工，他们就不再进贡、纳粮、缴税，王的国库必受亏损。如今，我们吃的盐既然全是宫廷的盐，就不忍见王吃亏，因此奏告于王，请王考察先王史籍，必会在史籍上查知这城是反叛的城，对列王和各省有害；自古以来，城中常有悖逆的事，因此这城曾被拆毁。

保罗申辩说：“无论犹太人的律法，或是圣殿，或是凯撒，我都没有干犯。”但非斯都要讨犹太人的喜欢，就回答保罗说：“你愿意上耶路撒冷去，在那里为这些事受我的审判吗？”保罗说：“我现在站在凯撒的审判台前，这就是我应当受审的地方。我并没有对犹太人做过什么不对的事，这也是你明明知道的。我若做了不对的事，犯了什么该死的罪，就是死我也不辞。他们所控告我的事若都不实，就没有人能把我交给他们。我要向凯撒上诉。”

现在有几个犹大人，就是王所派管理巴比伦省事务的沙得拉、米煞、亚伯尼歌；王啊，这些人不理你的谕旨，不事奉你的神明，也不拜你所立的金像。”

他们对王说：“王啊，那被掳的犹大人但以理不理会你，也不遵守你签署的禁令，竟一天三次祈祷。”

因为上帝的旨意原是要你们以行善来堵住糊涂无知人的口。
