我是靠近你们的上帝，不是遥远的上帝，不是吗？这是耶和华说的。人岂能在隐密处藏身，使我看不见他呢？这是耶和华说的。我岂不遍满天和地吗？这是耶和华说的。

自从造天地以来，上帝的永能和神性是明明可知的，虽然眼不能见，但藉着所造之物就可以了解看见，叫人无可推诿。

使剩余的人，就是凡称我名的外邦人，都寻求主。这话是自古以来显明这些事的主说的。’

还是你藐视他丰富的恩慈、宽容、忍耐，不知道他的恩慈是领你悔改吗？

耶和华啊，你已经鉴察我，认识我。我坐下，我起来，你都晓得；你从远处知道我的意念。我行路，我躺卧，你都细察；你也深知我一切所行的。耶和华啊，我舌头上的话，你没有一句不知道的。你前后环绕我，按手在我身上。这样的知识奇妙，是我不能测的；至高，是我不能及的。我往哪里去，躲避你的灵？我往哪里逃，躲避你的面？我若升到天上，你在那里；我若躺在阴间，你也在那里。我若展开清晨的翅膀，飞到海极居住，就是在那里，你的手必引导我，你的右手也必扶持我。我若说“黑暗必定压碎我，我周围的亮光必成为黑夜”，黑暗对你不再是黑暗，黑夜却如白昼发亮。黑暗和光明，在你看来都是一样。我的肺腑是你所造的，我在母腹中，你已编织我。

诸天述说上帝的荣耀，穹苍传扬他手的作为。这日到那日发出言语，这夜到那夜传出知识。无言无语，也无声音可听。它们的声浪传遍天下，它们的言语传到地极。上帝在其中为太阳安设帐幕，太阳如同新郎步出洞房，又如勇士欢然奔路。它从天这边出来，绕到天那边，没有一物可隐藏得不到它的热气。

“上帝果真住在地上吗？看哪，天和天上的天尚且不足容纳你，何况我所建的这殿呢？
