永恆主發神諭說：『我，難道我只是近處的上帝？不也是遠處的上帝麼？永恆主發神諭說：人哪能在隱密處藏身，使我看不見他呢？永恆主發神諭說：我，難道我不充滿着天地麼？

至於他的事、人所不能見的——他永久的能力及神性——從世界之創立以來，又是藉着他所造之物以被了悟而看清楚，使人無可推諉。

使其餘的人、就是凡稱為我名下的外國人、都尋求主；

還是你輕看他慈惠寬容與恆忍之豐富，不知道上帝的慈惠正領着你悔改麼？

永恆主啊，你察透了我，你認識我。我坐下、我起來、只有你才曉得；我的意念你從遠處就明白。我行路、我伸懶腰、你都篩下來細察；我一切所行的、你都熟悉。永恆主啊，我舌頭上發出的話沒有一句你不知道。你在我前後圍繞着我，你按手在我身上。這樣的知識太奇妙，我不能測；太高，我不能及。我往哪裏去躲避你的靈？我逃哪裏去躲避你的面呢？我若升到天上，你在那裏；我若拿陰間當床鋪，看哪，你也在那裏！我若鼓起黎明的翅膀，飛到海極去住，就是在那裏、你也使手按住我；你的右手也把我抓緊。我若說：『願黑暗遮蔽着我，願我周圍的光成為黑夜』，就是黑暗、也非黑暗、而使你不見我呀；黑夜卻如白晝發亮：黑暗怎樣，亮光也怎樣。我的肺腑腎腸是你製作的；我在母腹中是你織造了我。

諸天敘述上帝的榮耀；穹蒼宣說他手所作的。一日過一日傾吐言語；一夜過一夜陳述知識。並不是言，也不是語，其聲音也無可聽。但其聲音發出於全地，其言詞傳到世界的儘邊。其間有帳棚為日頭安設着：日頭如新郎出洞房，如勇士高興地跑路。其出發、出於天這邊，其繞行、繞到天那邊：沒有一物能隱藏、而得不到其熱氣的。

『然而上帝果真住在地上麼？看哪，天和天上之天尚且容不下你，何況我所建的這殿呢？
