And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else.

Yahweh God formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

I don’t rebuke you for your sacrifices. Your burnt offerings are continually before me.I have no need for a bull from your stall, nor male goats from your pens.For every animal of the forest is mine, and the livestock on a thousand hills.I know all the birds of the mountains. The wild animals of the field are mine.If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world is mine, and all that is in it.Will I eat the meat of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?

If you have sinned, what effect do you have against him? If your transgressions are multiplied, what do you do to him?If you are righteous, what do you give him? Or what does he receive from your hand?

“ Or who has first given to him, and it will be repaid to him again?”

“ Can a man be profitable to God? Surely he who is wise is profitable to himself.

The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.

( for the length of my life is still in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils);

God Yahweh, he who created the heavens and stretched them out, he who spread out the earth and that which comes out of it, he who gives breath to its people and spirit to those who walk in it, says:

‘ For in him we live, move, and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said,‘ For we are also his offspring.’

These all wait for you, that you may give them their food in due season.You give to them; they gather. You open your hand; they are satisfied with good.You hide your face; they are troubled. You take away their breath; they die and return to the dust.You send out your Spirit and they are created. You renew the face of the ground.

Charge those who are rich in this present world that they not be arrogant, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy;

A revelation, Yahweh’s word concerning Israel. Yahweh, who stretches out the heavens, and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him says:

My soul, you have said to Yahweh,“ You are my Lord. Apart from you I have no good thing.”

that you may be children of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust.

in whose hand is the life of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind?

But you go and learn what this means:‘ I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

Yet he didn’t leave himself without witness, in that he did good and gave you rains from the sky and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.”

If he set his heart on himself, if he gathered to himself his spirit and his breath,

“ Let Yahweh, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation,

For I will not contend forever, neither will I always be angry; for the spirit would faint before me, and the souls whom I have made.

I hate, I despise your feasts, and I can’t stand your solemn assemblies.Yes, though you offer me your burnt offerings and meal offerings, I will not accept them; neither will I regard the peace offerings of your fat animals.Take away from me the noise of your songs! I will not listen to the music of your harps.

Therefore the Lord Yahweh says:“ Behold, my anger and my wrath will be poured out on this place, on man, on animal, on the trees of the field, and on the fruit of the ground; and it will burn and will not be quenched.”Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel says:“ Add your burnt offerings to your sacrifices and eat meat.For I didn’t speak to your fathers or command them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices;but this thing I commanded them, saying,‘ Listen to my voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be my people; and walk in all the way that I command you, that it may be well with you.’

They fell on their faces, and said,“ God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and will you be angry with all the congregation?”
