If you sin, how does it affect God? If you multiply your transgressions, what does it do to Him?If you are righteous, what do you give Him, or what does He receive from your hand?

Or who has ever first given to Him, and has to be repaid?

Can a man be of any use to God? Can even a wise man be of use to Him?

The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.

as long as my breath is still in me and the breath from God remains in my nostrils,

This is what God, Yahweh, says— who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and what comes from it, who gives breath to the people on it and life to those who walk on it—

For in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said,‘ For we are also His offspring.’

All of them wait for You to give them their food at the right time.When You give it to them, they gather it; when You open Your hand, they are satisfied with good things.When You hide Your face, they are terrified; when You take away their breath, they die and return to the dust.When You send Your breath, they are created, and You renew the face of the earth.

Instruct those who are rich in the present age not to be arrogant or to set their hope on the uncertainty of wealth, but on God, who richly provides us with all things to enjoy.

An Oracle The word of the Lord concerning Israel. A declaration of the Lord, who stretched out the heavens, laid the foundation of the earth, and formed the spirit of man within him.

I said to Yahweh,“ You are my Lord; I have nothing good besides You.”

so that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. For He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

The life of every living thing is in His hand, as well as the breath of all mankind.

Go and learn what this means: I desire mercy and not sacrifice. For I didn’t come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

although He did not leave Himself without a witness, since He did what is good by giving you rain from heaven and fruitful seasons and satisfying your hearts with food and happiness.”

If He put His mind to it and withdrew the spirit and breath He gave,

“ May the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the community

For I will not accuse you forever, and I will not always be angry; for then the spirit would grow weak before Me, even the breath of man, which I have made.

I hate, I despise your feasts! I can’t stand the stench of your solemn assemblies.Even if you offer Me your burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them; I will have no regard for your fellowship offerings of fattened cattle.Take away from Me the noise of your songs! I will not listen to the music of your harps.

Therefore, this is what the Lord God says:“ Look, My anger— My burning wrath— is about to be poured out on this place, on man and beast, on the tree of the field, and on the produce of the land. My wrath will burn and not be quenched.”This is what the Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel, says:“ Add your burnt offerings to your other sacrifices, and eat the meat yourselves,for when I brought your ancestors out of the land of Egypt, I did not speak with them or command them concerning burnt offering and sacrifice.However, I did give them this command: Obey Me, and then I will be your God, and you will be My people. You must follow every way I command you so that it may go well with you.

But Moses and Aaron fell facedown and said,“ God, God of the spirits of all flesh, when one man sins, will You vent Your wrath on the whole community?”
