因為我走遍各處的時候，留心看你們所敬拜的，居然遇見一座壇、上面寫着說：「獻與不認識的神」。那麼你們所不認識而敬拜的，我把這個傳布給你們。

因為我邊走邊觀察你們所敬拜的，發現一座祭壇上刻著『獻給不認識的神』；那麼，我把你們所不認識而敬拜的這一位，現在傳講給你們。

適遊行時、觀爾所拜者、遇一壇、書曰、未識之神、爾所未識而崇拜者、我明告爾、

我方行遊、見爾所拜、遇一壇、書曰、未識之上帝、爾所未識而崇奉者、我為爾告之、

我適遊行、欲觀爾所崇拜者、遇一祭壇、上刻曰、未識之主、爾所未識而崇拜者、今我告爾、

蓋吾嘗閒步街頭、一覽爾所崇拜之對象、偶值一壇、上書「獻於未識之神。」茲吾欲揭示於爾者、正爾所未識而敬事者也。

For as I walked around and looked carefully at your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: to an unknown god. So you are ignorant of the very thing you worship— and this is what I am going to proclaim to you.

你们所敬拜的，你们不知道；我们所敬拜的，我们知道，因为救恩是从犹太人出来的。

但从前不认识上帝的时候，你们是给那些本来不是上帝的神明作奴隶；现在你们既然认识上帝，更可说是被上帝所认识的，怎么还要转回那懦弱无用的粗浅学说，情愿再给它们作奴隶呢？

认识你—独一的真神，并且认识你所差来的耶稣基督，这就是永生。

世人蒙昧无知的时候，上帝并不追究，如今却吩咐各处的人都要悔改。

他们把人的规条当作教义教导人；他们拜我也是枉然。’”

既然世人凭自己的智慧不认识上帝，上帝就本着自己的智慧乐意藉着人所传愚拙的话拯救那些信的人。

公义的父啊，世人未曾认识你，我却认识你，这些人也知道是你差我来的。

耶稣回答：“我若荣耀自己，我的荣耀就算不了什么；荣耀我的是我的父，就是你们所说的你们的上帝。

他们既然故意不认识上帝，上帝就任凭他们存扭曲的心，做那些不该做的事，

虽然在天上或地上有许多所谓的神明，就如他们中间有许多的神明，许多的主，

我们知道，上帝的儿子已经来到，并且将悟性赐给我们，使我们认识那位真实者，我们也在那位真实者里面，就是在他儿子耶稣基督里面。这是真神，也是永生。

你做了这些事，我闭口不言，你想我正如你一样；其实我要责备你，将这些事摆在你眼前。

他未曾这样对待别国，至于他的典章，他们向来都不知道。哈利路亚！

愿尊贵、荣耀归给永世的君王，那不朽坏、看不见、独一的上帝，直到永永远远。阿们！

自从造天地以来，上帝的永能和神性是明明可知的，虽然眼不能见，但藉着所造之物就可以了解看见，叫人无可推诿。因为，他们虽然知道上帝，却不把他当作上帝荣耀他，也不感谢他。他们的思想变为虚妄，无知的心昏暗了。他们自以为聪明，反成了愚昧，将不能朽坏之上帝的荣耀变为偶像，仿照必朽坏的人、飞禽、走兽、爬虫的形像。所以，上帝任凭他们随着心里的情欲行污秽的事，以致彼此羞辱自己的身体。他们将上帝的真实变为虚谎，去敬拜事奉受造之物，不敬奉那造物的主—主是可称颂的，直到永远。阿们！

那抵挡者高抬自己超过一切称为神明的，和一切受人敬拜的，甚至坐在上帝的殿里，自称为上帝。

这些不信的人被这世界的神明弄瞎了心眼，使他们看不见基督荣耀的福音。基督本是上帝的像。我们不是传自己，而是传耶稣基督为主，并且自己因耶稣作你们的仆人。那吩咐光从黑暗里照出来的上帝已经照在我们心里，使我们知道上帝荣耀的光显在耶稣基督的脸上。

要记得那时候，你们与基督无关，与以色列选民团体隔绝，在所应许的约上是局外人，而且在世上没有指望，没有上帝。
