因此，你們在暗中所說的，將要在明處被人聽見；在內室附耳所說的，將要在房上被人宣揚。」

智慧豈不呼叫？聰明豈不發聲？她在道旁高處的頂上，在十字路口站立，在城門旁，在城門口，在城門洞，大聲說：眾人哪，我呼叫你們，我向世人發聲。

就在各會堂裏宣傳耶穌，說他是神的兒子。

保羅照他素常的規矩進去，一連三個安息日，本着聖經與他們辯論，講解陳明基督必須受害，從死裏復活；又說：「我所傳與你們的這位耶穌就是基督。」他們中間有些人聽了勸，就附從保羅和西拉，並有許多虔敬的希臘人，尊貴的婦女也不少。

他又對他們說：「你們往普天下去，傳福音給萬民聽。

保羅就站起來，舉手，說：「以色列人和一切敬畏神的人，請聽。

耶穌看見這許多的人，就上了山，既已坐下，門徒到他跟前來，他就開口教訓他們，說：

聽從我、日日在我門口仰望、在我門框旁邊等候的，那人便為有福。

二人在以哥念同進猶太人的會堂，在那裏講的，叫猶太人和希臘人信的很多。但那不順從的猶太人聳動外邦人，叫他們心裏惱恨弟兄。二人在那裏住了多日，倚靠主放膽講道，主藉他們的手施行神蹟奇事，證明他的恩道。城裏的眾人就分了黨，有附從猶太人的，有附從使徒的。

因此我被耶和華的忿怒充滿，難以含忍。我要傾在街中的孩童和聚會的少年人身上，連夫帶妻，並年老的與日子滿足的都必被擒拿。

智慧在街市上呼喊，在寬闊處發聲，在熱鬧街頭喊叫，在城門口，在城中發出言語，說：你們愚昧人喜愛愚昧，褻慢人喜歡褻慢，愚頑人恨惡知識，要到幾時呢？

因為那時，人要專顧自己，貪愛錢財，自誇，狂傲，謗讟，違背父母，忘恩負義，心不聖潔，

有虔誠的人把司提反埋葬了，為他捶胸大哭。

他是個虔誠人，他和全家都敬畏神，多多賙濟百姓，常常禱告神。

有敬虔的外貌，卻背了敬虔的實意；這等人你要躲開。
