就立刻在各会堂里传讲耶稣，说这一位就是神的儿子。

保罗照习惯进了会堂，一连三个安息日，引用经文向他们讲论，讲解并说明基督必须受难，然后从死人中复活，并且说：“我传给你们的这位耶稣，就是基督。”他们当中有些人被说服了，就跟从了保罗和赛拉斯；不但有一大群敬神的希腊人，还有不少显要的妇女。

耶稣对他们说：“你们要到全世界去，向万人传福音。

保罗就站起来，挥一下手，说：“各位以色列人和敬畏神的人，请听！

耶稣看见人群，就上了山，坐下来。他的门徒们来到他面前，他就开口教导他们，说：

那听从我、在我的门旁天天警醒、在我的门柱边守候的人，是蒙福的！

有一次在以哥念，保罗和巴拿巴同样进了犹太人的会堂讲道，结果有一大群犹太人和希腊人信了。但那些不肯信从的犹太人怂恿外邦人，使他们心里敌视弟兄们。于是保罗和巴拿巴就住了很久，靠着主放胆传道。主藉着他们的手行了神迹和奇事，见证了他恩典的话语。以哥念城的民众就分裂了，有的赞同犹太人，有的赞同使徒们。

智慧在街道上呼喊，在广场上扬声；在喧闹的街头呼唤，在城门的入口、在城中发出言语：“无知的人喜爱无知，讥讽者贪爱讥讽，愚昧人恨恶知识，要到什么时候呢？

因为人们将会爱自己、爱钱财，又自夸、又骄傲，亵渎神、悖逆父母、忘恩负义、毫不圣洁、

有些虔诚的人把司提反埋葬了，为他大大地悲伤。

他是个敬虔的人，与全家都敬畏神；他慷慨地周济民众，常常向神祷告。

有敬神的外表，却否定敬神的实质；这样的人你要避开。
