弟兄姊妹，你們的遭遇和猶太地區基督耶穌的眾教會的遭遇一樣。你們受到了自己同胞的迫害，他們也受到了猶太人的迫害。這些猶太人殺死了主耶穌和眾先知，又迫害我們。他們不但冒犯上帝，還與所有的人為敵，阻止我們傳福音給外族人，唯恐他們得救。這些人惡貫滿盈，上帝的烈怒終於臨到了他們頭上。

脾氣暴躁，惹起爭端；忍耐克制，平息糾紛。

貪得無厭的人挑起紛爭，信靠耶和華的富足昌盛。

從來沒有人像亞哈那樣受妻子耶洗別唆使，一心做耶和華視為惡的事。

但那些頑梗不信的猶太人卻慫恿外族人敵視信徒。

「虛偽的律法教師和法利賽人啊，你們有禍了！因為你們當著人們的面關閉天國之門，自己不進去，也不讓別人進去。

又煽動百姓、長老和律法教師抓住司提凡，把他押到公會。

當七日的潔淨期將滿的時候，有些從亞細亞來的猶太人發現保羅在聖殿裡，就煽動眾人去抓他。

你們以為我來是要使天下太平嗎？不，我告訴你們，我來是要使地上起紛爭。

那些不信主的猶太人卻妒火中燒，他們召集了一群市井無賴，在城裡引發騷亂，闖進耶孫的家企圖把保羅和西拉揪出來示眾。
