How, then, can they call on him they have not believed in? And how can they believe without hearing about him? And how can they hear without a preacher?And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news.

As a result, you became an example to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia.For the word of the Lord rang out from you, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but in every place that your faith in God has gone out. Therefore, we don’t need to say anything,

About three in the afternoon he distinctly saw in a vision an angel of God who came in and said to him,“ Cornelius.”

And it will be in the last days, says God, that I will pour out my Spirit on all people; then your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams.I will even pour out my Spirit on my servants in those days, both men and women and they will prophesy.

When I was present with you and in need, I did not burden anyone, since the brothers who came from Macedonia supplied my needs. I have kept myself, and will keep myself, from burdening you in any way.

In fact, when we came into Macedonia, we had no rest. Instead, we were troubled in every way: conflicts on the outside, fears within.

The Lord said to Paul in a night vision,“ Don’t be afraid, but keep on speaking and don’t be silent.For I am with you, and no one will lay a hand on you to hurt you, because I have many people in this city.”

and stayed three months. The Jews plotted against him when he was about to set sail for Syria, and so he decided to go back through Macedonia.

Boasting is necessary. It is not profitable, but I will move on to visions and revelations of the Lord.I know a man in Christ who was caught up to the third heaven fourteen years ago. Whether he was in the body or out of the body, I don’t know; God knows.I know that this man— whether in the body or out of the body I don’t know; God knows—was caught up into paradise and heard inexpressible words, which a human being is not allowed to speak.

After the uproar was over, Paul sent for the disciples, encouraged them, and after saying farewell, departed to go to Macedonia.

“ I was in the town of Joppa praying, and I saw, in a trance, an object that resembled a large sheet coming down, being lowered by its four corners from heaven, and it came to me.When I looked closely and considered it, I saw the four-footed animals of the earth, the wild beasts, the reptiles, and the birds of the sky.I also heard a voice telling me,‘ Get up, Peter; kill and eat.’“‘ No, Lord!’ I said.‘ For nothing impure or ritually unclean has ever entered my mouth.’But a voice answered from heaven a second time,‘ What God has made clean, you must not call impure.’“ Now this happened three times, and everything was drawn up again into heaven.At that very moment, three men who had been sent to me from Caesarea arrived at the house where we were.The Spirit told me to accompany them with no doubts at all. These six brothers also accompanied me, and we went into the man’s house.He reported to us how he had seen the angel standing in his house and saying,‘ Send to Joppa, and call for Simon, who is also named Peter.He will speak a message to you by which you and all your household will be saved.’

Cornelius replied,“ Four days ago at this hour, at three in the afternoon, I was praying in my house. Just then a man in dazzling clothing stood before me

Therefore send someone to Joppa and invite Simon here, who is also named Peter. He is lodging in Simon the tanner’s house by the sea.’So I immediately sent for you, and it was good of you to come. So now we are all in the presence of God to hear everything you have been commanded by the Lord.”

Since Lydda was near Joppa, the disciples heard that Peter was there and sent two men to him who urged him,“ Don’t delay in coming with us.”

In fact, you are doing this toward all the brothers and sisters in the entire region of Macedonia. But we encourage you, brothers and sisters, to do this even more,

There was an Ethiopian man, a eunuch and high official of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, who was in charge of her entire treasury. He had come to worship in Jerusalemand was sitting in his chariot on his way home, reading the prophet Isaiah aloud.The Spirit told Philip,“ Go and join that chariot.”When Philip ran up to it, he heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said,“ Do you understand what you’re reading?”“ How can I,” he said,“ unless someone guides me?” So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.

We want you to know, brothers and sisters, about the grace of God that was given to the churches of Macedonia:

For I know your eagerness, and I boast about you to the Macedonians,“ Achaia has been ready since last year,” and your zeal has stirred up most of them.

especially because of the extraordinary revelations. Therefore, so that I would not exalt myself, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to torment me so that I would not exalt myself.
