愿颂赞归于上帝—我们主耶稣基督的父；他是发慈悲的父，赐各样安慰的上帝。我们在一切患难中，他安慰我们，使我们能用上帝所赐的安慰去安慰那些遭各样患难的人。正如我们跟基督同受许多苦楚，我们也靠基督得许多安慰。如果我们受患难，那是为使你们得安慰，得拯救；如果我们得安慰，那也是为使你们得安慰，这安慰能使你们忍受我们所受同样的苦楚。我们为你们所存的盼望是确定的，因为知道你们分担了我们的痛苦，也要分享我们的安慰。

他明白了，就到那称为马可的约翰的母亲马利亚家去，在那里已有好些人聚集祷告。彼得敲外门时，有一个使女，名叫罗大，出来应门，认出是彼得的声音，欢喜得顾不了开门，就跑进去报信，说彼得站在门外。他们对她说：“你疯了！”使女坚持真有其事。他们说：“那是他的天使。”彼得不停地敲门；他们开了门，一见是他，就很惊奇。彼得做个手势，要他们不作声，就告诉他们主怎样领他出监；又说：“你们要把这些事告诉雅各和众弟兄。”然后，他离开往别处去了。

路司得和以哥念的弟兄都称赞他。
