可是保罗对他们说：“我们是罗马公民，并没有被定罪，他们却当众打我们，把我们投进监狱。现在他们还要悄悄地把我们赶出去吗？当然不行！让他们亲自来领我们出去！”

保罗却说：“我们是罗马人，并没有定罪，他们就在众人面前打了我们，又把我们下在监里，现在要私下撵我们出去吗？这是不行的。叫他们自己来领我们出去吧！”

保罗却说：“我们是罗马人，并没有定罪，他们竟在公众面前打了我们，又把我们下在监里；现在要私下赶我们出去吗？这不行！叫他们自己来领我们出去吧！”

保罗却说：“我们是罗马人，并没有定罪，他们竟在公众面前打了我们，又把我们下在监里；现在要私下赶我们出去吗？这不行！叫他们自己来领我们出去吧！”

保罗却说：“我们是罗马公民，他们不经审讯就当众打我们，又把我们关进牢里，现在却想偷偷打发掉我们吗？这样不行，叫他们亲自来领我们出去！”

保罗对他们说：“我们是罗马人，还没有定罪，他们就公开打我们，又放在监里；现在要私下赶我们出去吗？不行！他们应当亲自来，领我们出去！”

保羅卻說：「我們是羅馬人，並沒有定罪，他們就在眾人面前打了我們，又把我們下在監裏，現在要私下攆我們出去嗎？這是不行的。叫他們自己來領我們出去吧！」

保羅卻說：「我們是羅馬人，並沒有定罪，他們竟在公眾面前打了我們，又把我們下在監裏；現在要私下趕我們出去嗎？這不行！叫他們自己來領我們出去吧！」

保羅卻說：「我們是羅馬人，並沒有定罪，他們竟在公眾面前打了我們，又把我們下在監裏；現在要私下趕我們出去嗎？這不行！叫他們自己來領我們出去吧！」

保羅卻對他們說：『我們本是羅馬人，又是沒受定罪的；他們在公眾面前打了我們，給下在監裏；如今要私下裏把我們攆出去啊？絕對不行！不，他們要親自來，領我們出去！』

可是保羅對他們說：「我們是羅馬公民，並沒有被定罪，他們卻當眾打我們，把我們投進監獄。現在他們還要悄悄地把我們趕出去嗎？當然不行！讓他們親自來領我們出去！」

保羅曰、我儕羅馬人也、未定罪、而於眾前扑之、且下獄、今欲私出我乎、必不可、宜自來、引我出也、

保羅曰、我亦羅馬赤子、未定擬、遽當眾前受僕下獄、今欲私出我乎、必不可、俟其自來引我出也、

保羅曰、我儕亦羅瑪人、未定罪、當眾前杖我、且下獄、今欲私出我乎、必不可、俟其自來引我出、

隸如言白有司、有司聞其為羅馬人、悚懼、

But Paul said to the officers:“ They beat us publicly without a trial, even though we are Roman citizens, and threw us into prison. And now do they want to get rid of us quietly? No! Let them come themselves and escort us out.”

But Paul replied to the officers.“ They beat us in public,” he said.“ We weren’t given a trial. And we are Roman citizens! They threw us into prison. And now do they want to get rid of us quietly? No! Let them come themselves and personally lead us out.”

But Paul said to them,“ They have beaten us publicly, uncondemned, men who are Roman citizens, and have thrown us into prison; and do they now throw us out secretly? No! Let them come themselves and take us out.”

But Paul replied,“ They have publicly beaten us without a trial and put us in prison— and we are Roman citizens. So now they want us to leave secretly? Certainly not! Let them come themselves to release us!”

But Paul said to them,“ They beat us in public without a trial, although we are Roman citizens, and threw us in jail. And now are they going to send us away secretly? Certainly not! On the contrary, let them come themselves and escort us out.”

But Paul said to them,“ After beating us in public without due process— men who are Romans— they threw us into prison; and now they are releasing us secretly? No indeed! On the contrary, let them come in person and lead us out.”

But Paul said to them,“ They have beaten us openly, uncondemned Romans, and have thrown us into prison. And now do they put us out secretly? No indeed! Let them come themselves and get us out.”

But Paul said unto them, They have beaten us publicly, uncondemned, men that are Romans, and have cast us into prison; and do they now cast us out privily? nay verily; but let them come themselves and bring us out.

But Paul said to them,“ They beat us in public without a trial, although we are Roman citizens, and threw us in jail. And now are they going to smuggle us out secretly? Certainly not! On the contrary, let them come themselves and escort us out!”

But Paul said unto them, They have beaten us openly uncondemned, being Romans, and have cast[ us] into prison; and now do they thrust us out privily? nay verily; but let them come themselves and fetch us out.

But Paul said to the police officers,“ They had us beaten in public without a proper trial– even though we are Roman citizens– and they threw us in prison. And now they want to send us away secretly? Absolutely not! They themselves must come and escort us out!”

But Paul said to them,“ They have beaten us publicly without a trial, men who are Romans, and have cast us into prison! Do they now release us secretly? No, most certainly, but let them come themselves and bring us out!”

当士兵们用皮条捆上保罗的时候，他对站在旁边的百夫长说：“你们鞭打一个没有被定罪的罗马公民，可以吗？”百夫长听了，就来到千夫长面前，报告说：“你要做什么呢？要知道，这个人是罗马公民。”千夫长就前来问保罗：“告诉我，你是罗马公民吗？”保罗说：“是的。”千夫长说：“我花了一大笔钱，才买到了罗马公民权。”保罗说：“我生下来就是。”于是那些要拷问他的人，立刻退下了。千夫长既知道他是罗马公民，又因为捆绑了他，就惧怕起来。

那些坐在奸恶王位上的，就是藉着律例制造祸患的，难道能成为你的盟友吗？

“看哪，我差派你们出去，就像把羊送进狼群中，所以你们要像蛇那样聪明，像鸽子那样纯洁。

在神的集会里，神站在众神明当中施行审判：“你们施行不义的审判，顾及恶人的情面，要到什么时候呢？细拉

把两个人带到官长们面前，说：“这些人是犹太人，在扰乱我们的城市，传讲我们罗马人不可以接受、也不能遵守的规矩。”那群人就一同起来反对保罗和赛拉斯。官长们就剥了他们的衣服，下令用棍子打，打了很多棍以后，把他们投进监狱，吩咐狱卒好好地看守。狱卒领了这样的吩咐，就把他们投进了监狱里的最里层，把他们的两脚铐在木枷上。

恶人虽没有人追赶也会逃跑；义人却像少壮狮子无所惧怕。

然后，王回到宫中，整夜禁食，不让人给他带来任何娱乐享受，他也睡不着觉。在清晨黎明的时候，王就起来，急忙前往狮子坑。

王回应说：“看哪，我看到有四个人，并没有被绑着，在烈火中行走，身上也没有损伤，而那第四个人，他的样貌仿佛神子。”于是，尼布甲尼撒靠近烈火燃烧的窑门，开口说：“至高神的仆人沙德拉克、米沙克、亚伯尼哥，你们出来，到这里来吧！”沙德拉克、米沙克、亚伯尼哥就从烈火中出来了。

掌权者啊，你们真的讲公义吗？你们真的以正直审判世人吗？不，你们在心里行不义，你们在地上手施残暴。
