The merciful are blessed, for they will be shown mercy.

Isn’t the fast I choose: To break the chains of wickedness, to untie the ropes of the yoke, to set the oppressed free, and to tear off every yoke?

How can a person be justified before God? How can one born of woman be pure?

Don’t work for the food that perishes but for the food that lasts for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal of approval on Him.”“ What can we do to perform the works of God?” they asked.Jesus replied,“ This is the work of God— that you believe in the One He has sent.”

“ But get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”

Teach me what I cannot see; if I have done wrong, I won’t do it again.”

Therefore produce fruit consistent with repentance.

“ Wash yourselves. Cleanse yourselves. Remove your evil deeds from My sight. Stop doing evil.Learn to do what is good. Seek justice. Correct the oppressor. Defend the rights of the fatherless. Plead the widow’s cause.
