但是主的一個使者夜間開了監門，領他們出來，說：

忽然有主的一個天使站在旁邊，有光照在獄室裏。天使拍着彼得的肋旁，叫醒了他，說：『趕快起來！』彼得的鎖鍊就從他手上掉下來。

他們經過了第一守衛站、以及第二站，來到通城去的鐵門，那門自然然給他們開了。他們就出來，往前走過一條街，天使隨即離開他去了。

他為受欺壓的伸冤；他賜食物給饑餓的人。永恆主解開了被囚者的捆綁；

忽然地大震動；因為有主的一個使者從天上下來，走上前去，把石頭輥開，坐在上面。

去開瞎子的眼，去領被囚的出牢獄，領坐黑暗的出監牢。

願被囚的人的唉哼達到你面前；願你按你膀臂之大能使瀕於死亡的人得以存留着。

來聽被擄之人的唉哼，來釋放瀕於死亡的人；

主永恆主的靈在我身上；因為永恆主用膏油膏了我，叫我傳好信息給困苦的人，差遣我去綁紮心裏破碎的，給被擄的宣告自由，給被囚的宣告開釋，

就在那時就發生了大地震；那城有十分之一倒壞了。在地震中遭難而死的人有七千名；其餘的人都很懼怕，就把榮耀獻與天上的上帝。

錫安哪、你，你也如此，為了和你立的約之血、我必將你中間被擄被囚的人從無水坑中釋放出來。被囚而有指望的人哪，返回堡砦哦！我今日鄭重地說明：我必加倍地還報你們。
