He did not discriminate between us and them, for he purified their hearts by faith.

God showed that there is no difference between us and them. That’s because he made their hearts pure because of their faith.

Peter said to them,“ You know it’s forbidden for a Jewish man to associate with or visit a foreigner. But God has shown me that I must not call any person common or unclean.

Then Peter began to speak:“ Now I really understand that God doesn’t show favoritism,

By obedience to the truth, having purified yourselves for sincere love of the brothers, love one another earnestly from a pure heart,

— that is, God’s righteousness through faith in Jesus Christ, to all who believe, since there is no distinction.

What then? Are we any better? Not at all! For we have previously charged that both Jews and Gentiles are all under sin,

For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a young cow, sprinkling those who are defiled, sanctify for the purification of the flesh,how much more will the blood of the Messiah, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse our consciences from dead works to serve the living God?

Again, a second time, a voice said to him,“ What God has made clean, you must not call common.”

Now the Scripture says, Everyone who believes on Him will not be put to shame,for there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, since the same Lord of all is rich to all who call on Him.For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

on us, the ones He also called, not only from the Jews but also from the Gentiles?

Or is God for Jews only? Is He not also for Gentiles? Yes, for Gentiles too,since there is one God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith.

In Christ there is not Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave and free; but Christ is all and in all.

For He is our peace, who made both groups one and tore down the dividing wall of hostility. In His flesh,He made of no effect the law consisting of commands and expressed in regulations, so that He might create in Himself one new man from the two, resulting in peace.He did this so that He might reconcile both to God in one body through the cross and put the hostility to death by it.When the Messiah came, He proclaimed the good news of peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near.For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.So then you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with the saints, and members of God’s household,built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the cornerstone.The whole building, being put together by Him, grows into a holy sanctuary in the Lord.You also are being built together for God’s dwelling in the Spirit.

And he received the sign of circumcision as a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while still uncircumcised. This was to make him the father of all who believe but are not circumcised, so that righteousness may be credited to them also.And he became the father of the circumcised, who are not only circumcised but who also follow in the footsteps of the faith our father Abraham had while he was still uncircumcised.

There is no Jew or Greek, slave or free, male or female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision accomplishes anything; what matters is faith working through love.

The same thing happened in Iconium; they entered the Jewish synagogue and spoke in such a way that a great number of both Jews and Greeks believed.

All the prophets testify about Him that through His name everyone who believes in Him will receive forgiveness of sins.”While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came down on all those who heard the message.
