可見，信道是從聽道來的，聽道是從基督的話來的。但我要問，人沒有聽見嗎？當然聽見了。「他們的聲音傳遍全地；他們的言語傳到地極。」

起來，下去，跟他們同去，不要疑惑，因為是我差他們來的。」

但神藉着眾先知的口預先宣告過基督將要受害的事，就這樣應驗了。

然而，耶和華－以色列的神在我父的全家揀選我作以色列的王，直到永遠。因他揀選猶大為領袖，在猶大家中揀選我父家，在我父的眾兒子裏喜悅我，立我作全以色列的王。耶和華賜我許多兒子，在我兒子中揀選我兒子所羅門坐耶和華國度的王位，治理以色列。

你曾藉着聖靈託你僕人－我們祖宗大衛的口說：『外邦為甚麼擾動？萬民為甚麼謀算虛妄的事？

約翰回答說：「若不是從天上賜的，人就不能得到甚麼。

你們無論做甚麼事，都不要發怨言起爭論，

不是你們揀選了我，而是我揀選了你們，並且派你們去結果子，讓你們的果子得以長存，好使你們奉我的名，無論向父求甚麼，他會賜給你們。

眾人禱告說：「主啊，你知道萬人的心，求你從這兩個人中指明你所揀選的是哪一位，

我卻不以性命為念，只要走完我的路程，完成我從主耶穌所領受的職分，為神恩典的福音作見證。

我還告訴你，你是彼得，我要把我的教會建造在這磐石上，陰間的權柄不能勝過它。我要把天國的鑰匙給你，凡你在地上所捆綁的，在天上也要捆綁；凡你在地上所釋放的，在天上也要釋放。」

聖靈吩咐我和他們同去，不要疑惑，還有這六位弟兄也跟我一起去，我們進了那人的家。那人就告訴我們，他如何看見一位天使站在他家裏，說：『你派人往約帕去，請那稱為彼得的西門來，他有話要告訴你，因這些話你和你的全家都可以得救。』我一開始講話，聖靈就降在他們身上，正像當初降在我們身上一樣。我就想起主的話如何說：『約翰用水施洗，但你們要在聖靈裏受洗。』既然神給他們恩賜，像在我們信主耶穌基督的時候給了我們一樣，我是誰，能攔阻神嗎？」眾人聽見這些話，就不說話了，只歸榮耀給神，說：「這樣看來，神也賜恩給外邦人，使他們悔改得生命了。」

於是耶和華伸手按住我的口，對我說：「看哪，我已將我的話放在你口中。

他們在事奉主和禁食的時候，聖靈說：「要為我分派巴拿巴和掃羅去做我召他們做的工作。」

你要派人往約帕去，請那稱為彼得的西門來，他住在海邊一個皮革匠西門的家裏。』所以我立刻派人去請你。你來了真好。現在我們都在神面前，要聽主吩咐你的一切話。」彼得開口說：「我真的看出神是不偏待人的。不但如此，在各國中那敬畏他而行義的人都為他所悅納。神藉着耶穌基督－他是萬有的主－傳和平的福音，把這道傳給以色列人。這話在約翰傳揚洗禮以後，從加利利起，傳遍了猶太。神怎樣以聖靈和能力膏了拿撒勒人耶穌，這都是你們知道的。他到處奔波，行善事，醫好凡被魔鬼壓制的人，因為神與他同在。

現在，去吧，我必賜你口才，指教你應當說的。」

現在你要派人往約帕去，請一位稱為彼得的西門來。他住在一個皮革匠西門的家裏，房子就在海邊。」

於是二人起了爭執，甚至彼此分手。巴拿巴帶着馬可，坐船往塞浦路斯去；

主對他說：「你只管去。他是我所揀選的器皿，要在外邦人、君王和以色列人面前宣揚我的名。

「諸位弟兄，聖經的話必須應驗。聖經中，聖靈曾藉大衛的口預先說到那領人來拿耶穌的猶大；
