有几个人从犹太下来，教训弟兄们说：“你们若不按摩西的规条受割礼，不能得救。”

我第八天受割礼；我是以色列族、便雅悯支派的人，是希伯来人所生的希伯来人。就律法说，我是法利赛人；就热心说，我是逼迫教会的；就律法上的义说，我是无可指摘的。只是我先前以为与我有益的，我现在因基督都当作有损的。不但如此，我也将万事当作有损的，因我以认识我主基督耶稣为至宝。我为他已经丢弃万事，看作粪土，为要得着基督；

我们听说，有几个人从我们这里出去，用言语搅扰你们，惑乱你们的心。其实我们并没有吩咐他们。

基督释放了我们，叫我们得以自由。所以要站立得稳，不要再被奴仆的轭挟制。我保罗告诉你们，若受割礼，基督就与你们无益了。我再指着凡受割礼的人确实地说，他是欠着行全律法的债。

他们若肯作见证就晓得，我从起初是按着我们教中最严紧的教门作了法利赛人。现在我站在这里受审，是因为指望神向我们祖宗所应许的；

我们看这个人，如同瘟疫一般，是鼓动普天下众犹太人生乱的，又是拿撒勒教党里的一个头目，

他们听见，就归荣耀与神，对保罗说：“兄台，你看犹太人中信主的有多少万，并且都为律法热心。
