實際上，我們每一個人在很多事上都會跌倒。如果有人在言語上不跌倒，這個人就是一個成熟的人，也能夠克制全身。

世上實在沒有一個行善而不犯罪的義人。

事實上，我知道在我裡面，就是在我肉體中，沒有良善；因為行善的意願在我裡面，卻行不出來。這樣，我願意行的善，我沒有去行；我不願意做的惡，我反而去做。那麼，如果我做我不願意做的事，這事就不再是我所做的，而是住在我裡面的罪所做的。因此我發現一個法則：當我願意行善的時候，惡就在我裡面。

這樣，他們兩個人受聖靈的差遣，就下到塞琉西亞，又從那裡坐船前往塞浦路斯島，到了薩拉米斯，就在猶太人的各會堂裡傳講神的話語。他們也有約翰馬可做助理。他們走遍全島，直到帕福斯，遇見了一個名叫巴耶蘇的猶太人，是個行法術的假先知。他和省長瑟吉烏斯保羅常在一起。省長是一個明智的人，他請了巴拿巴和掃羅來，要求聽神的話語。但那行法術的以路摩——他的名字翻譯出來就是「行法術的」——卻抵擋他們，企圖使省長轉離這信仰。可是掃羅，也就是保羅，被聖靈充滿，注視著以路摩，說：「哦，你這個充滿一切詭詐、一切奸惡的人哪！魔鬼的兒子，一切公義的仇敵！你歪曲主的正道，還不停止嗎？看哪，現在主的手臨到你，你要瞎眼，暫時看不見日光。」立刻，迷霧和黑暗籠罩了他，他四處摸索，求人牽手領路。省長當時看見所發生的事，對主的教導驚嘆不已，就信了。

但其中有一些塞浦路斯人和古利奈人，來到安提阿，也向希臘人講道，傳主耶穌的福音。

在那些日子裡，門徒增多。說希臘語的猶太人抱怨那些說希伯來語的猶太人，因為他們的寡婦在每日的服事上被忽略了。

保羅、巴拿巴與他們發生了不小的爭執和辯論，他們就指定保羅、巴拿巴和其中的另一些人為這爭議的問題，上耶路撒冷到使徒們和長老們那裡去。

我們從那裡起航，因為逆風，就沿著塞浦路斯島的背風岸航行。

我看見一切完美的事都有盡頭，唯有你的誡命極其寬闊。

因為他們悖逆了神的靈，摩西的嘴就說了輕率的話。
