因為永恆主這麼說：『看吧，我必使興隆延及於她、像江河，使列國的財寶延漫於她、像漲溢河；他們嗍奶的孩子必在她腰邊被懷搋，在她膝上被撫弄。正如一個人，他母親怎樣安慰他，我也怎樣安慰你們；是在耶路撒冷你們要受安慰的。你們看見，你們心中就高興，你們的骨頭就滿得滋潤、像青草一樣；人就知道永恆主的手是跟着他僕人，他的盛怒是加於他仇敵的。

外國人聽了，就歡喜，將榮耀歸於主的道；凡被定得永生的都信了。

你舉目四面觀看吧！萬眾都集合來歸你呢；你的眾兒子都從遠方而來，你的眾女兒都被提抱於腰邊來到。那時你看見、就有光彩，你心裏就又跳動又寬暢；因為大海豐富的貨物必轉來歸你，列國的資財必來歸你；

把那隻肥牛犢牽來宰；我們喫喝快樂吧！因為我這個兒子死又再活了；失掉又得着了。」他們就歡躍起來。

弟兄們聽見了我們的事，就出來，直走到亞比烏市場和三旅館、來迎接我們。保羅看見他們，就感謝上帝，越發壯膽。

在耶路撒冷的使徒聽見撒瑪利亞接受了上帝之道，就差遣彼得約翰往他們那裏去；

找着了，就擱在肩膀上，直歡喜。來到家裏，就招集朋友和同鄉，對他們說：「和我一同歡喜吧，因為我那失掉的羊、我已經找着了。「我告訴你們，為了一個罪人悔改，在天上也必有這樣的喜樂，比為了九十九個無需乎悔改的義人，喜樂還要大呢。『或是甚麼婦人有十個「日工錢」幣，若失掉了一個，豈不點上燈，打掃屋子，細細地找，直到找着呢？找着了，就招集女朋友和同鄉來，說：「和我一同歡喜吧，因為我失掉的『一日工錢』幣，我已經找着了。」我告訴你們，為了一個罪人悔改，在上帝的使者面前也這樣地有喜樂。』

就是、我要從你們那裏經過、上馬其頓；再從馬其頓回到你們那裏，然後蒙你們送行、往猶太去。
