只要写信，吩咐他们禁戒偶像的污秽和奸淫，并勒死的牲畜和血。

至于信主的外邦人，我们已经写信拟定，叫他们谨忌那祭偶像之物，和血，并勒死的牲畜，与奸淫。”

你们看属肉体的以色列人，那吃祭物的岂不是在祭坛上有份吗？我是怎么说呢？岂是说祭偶像之物算得什么呢？或说偶像算得什么呢？我乃是说，外邦人所献的祭是祭鬼，不是祭神。我不愿意你们与鬼相交。

然而，有几件事我要责备你：因为在你那里有人服从了巴兰的教训；这巴兰曾教导巴勒将绊脚石放在以色列人面前，叫他们吃祭偶像之物，行奸淫的事。

然而，有一件事我要责备你，就是你容让那自称是先知的妇人耶洗别教导我的仆人，引诱他们行奸淫，吃祭偶像之物。

还有末了的话：愿弟兄们都喜乐。要作完全人；要受安慰；要同心合意；要彼此和睦。如此，仁爱和平的神必常与你们同在。

“论到一切活物的生命，就在血中。所以我对以色列人说：无论什么活物的血，你们都不可吃，因为一切活物的血就是他的生命。凡吃了血的，必被剪除。

不可因食物毁坏神的工程。凡物固然洁净，但有人因食物叫人跌倒，就是他的罪了。无论是吃肉是喝酒，是什么别的事，叫弟兄跌倒，一概不做才好。

在神我们的父面前，那清洁没有玷污的虔诚，就是看顾在患难中的孤儿寡妇，并且保守自己不沾染世俗。

我凭着主耶稣确知深信，凡物本来没有不洁净的；惟独人以为不洁净的，在他就不洁净了。你若因食物叫弟兄忧愁，就不是按着爱人的道理行。基督已经替他死，你不可因你的食物叫他败坏。

给人行按手的礼，不可急促；不要在别人的罪上有份，要保守自己清洁。

那能保守你们不失脚、叫你们无瑕无疵、欢欢喜喜站在他荣耀之前的我们的救主独一的神，

我在你们那里缺乏的时候，并没有累着你们一个人；因我所缺乏的，那从马其顿来的弟兄们都补足了。我向来凡事谨守，后来也必谨守，总不至于累着你们。

亲爱的弟兄啊，你们却要在至圣的真道上造就自己，在圣灵里祷告，保守自己常在神的爱中，仰望我们主耶稣基督的怜悯，直到永生。

就辞别他们，说：“神若许我，我还要回到你们这里”；于是开船离了以弗所。

又有一人说：“主，我要跟从你，但容我先去辞别我家里的人。”

后来有人把要害他的计谋告诉我，我就立时解他到你那里去，又吩咐告他的人在你面前告他。”
