You are to abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals and from sexual immorality. You will do well to avoid these things. Farewell.

我們只須寫信吩咐他們遠避被偶像玷污之物，不可淫亂，不可吃血和勒死的牲畜。

至於那些外族信徒，我們已經寫信吩咐他們，不可吃祭過偶像的食物，不可吃血和勒死的牲畜，不可淫亂。」

你們看以色列人，那些吃祭物的難道不是有份於祭壇嗎？我這話是什麼意思呢？是說偶像和祭偶像的食物有什麼特別嗎？當然不是，我的意思是那些異教徒所獻的祭是祭鬼魔的，而不是獻給上帝的。我不願意你們與鬼魔有任何關係。

不過有幾件事我要責備你，你那裡有人隨從巴蘭的教導。這巴蘭從前教巴勒在以色列人面前佈下網羅，使他們吃祭過偶像的食物、犯淫亂的罪。

可是有一件事我要責備你，就是你容許那自稱是先知的婦人耶洗別教導我的眾奴僕，引誘他們淫亂、吃祭過偶像的食物。

最後，弟兄姊妹，我還有幾句話要說：你們要喜樂，追求完善，接受勸勉，同心合意，和睦共處。這樣，仁愛和平的上帝必常與你們同在。

因為眾生的生命都在血中。因此，耶和華吩咐以色列人不可吃任何動物的血，因為血就是生命。凡吃血的都要被剷除。

不可因食物的問題而破壞上帝的工作。所有的食物固然都是潔淨的，但人若因所吃的食物絆倒別人，就有罪了。無論是吃肉、喝酒還是做任何別的事，如果會絆倒別人，就應該一概不做。

在父上帝看來，純潔無瑕的虔誠是指照顧患難中的孤兒寡婦，並且不讓自己被世俗玷污。

我知道並靠著主耶穌深信，沒有什麼是不潔淨的。但若有人以為某物不潔淨，那物對他來說就不潔淨。如果你吃的東西令弟兄姊妹不安，你就不是憑愛心行事。你不可因為一點食物而損害基督捨命救贖的人。

為人行按手禮，不要操之過急。不要沾染別人的罪，要潔身自好。

願榮耀歸給我們的救主——獨一的上帝！祂能保守你們不失足犯罪，使你們無瑕無疵、歡歡喜喜地站在祂的榮耀面前。

我在你們那裡經濟拮据的時候，沒有拖累過你們任何人，因為馬其頓來的弟兄姊妹補足了我的缺乏。我沒有在任何方面成為你們的負擔，將來也不會成為你們的負擔。

親愛的弟兄姊妹，你們要在至聖的真道上造就自己，在聖靈的引導下禱告，常在上帝的愛中，等候我們主耶穌基督施憐憫賜給你們永生。

他向眾人道別，說：「如果上帝許可，我會回來。」然後上船離開了以弗所。

又有一個人說：「主啊！我願意跟從你，但請讓我先回去向家人告別。」

我得知有人準備暗殺他，便立即護送他到你那裡，我會通知他的控告者去你那裡告他。」
