我簡單地寫了這信，託我所看為忠心的弟兄西拉交給你們，勸勉你們，又證明這恩是上帝真實的恩典；你們務要在這恩上站立得住。

保羅則揀選了西拉，也出發了，蒙弟兄們把他交於主的恩典中。

獄警叫人拿燈來，就衝進去，戰戰兢兢地俯伏在保羅和西拉面前。

於是，弟兄們立刻送保羅到海邊去，西拉和提摩太卻仍留在庇哩亞。

約在半夜，保羅和西拉正在禱告，唱詩讚美上帝，眾囚犯也側耳聽着的時候，

西拉和提摩太從馬其頓來的時候，保羅正專心傳道，向猶太人證明耶穌是基督。

於是他們推舉兩個人，就是那叫巴撒巴，又稱為猶士都的約瑟，和馬提亞。

使女的主人們見發財的指望沒有了，就揪住保羅和西拉，拉他們到市上去見官；

保羅、西拉和提摩太寫信給帖撒羅尼迦、在我們的父上帝與主耶穌基督裏的教會。

他們中間有些人聽了勸，就跟從保羅和西拉，還有許多虔敬的希臘人，尊貴的婦女也不少。

當夜，弟兄們立刻送保羅和西拉往庇哩亞去；二人到了，就進入猶太人的會堂。

他們帶去的信說：「使徒和作長老的弟兄們向安提阿、敘利亞、基利家外邦眾弟兄問安。

眾百姓知道了就看為好。凡王所做的，眾百姓都看為好。

在耶路撒冷的使徒聽見撒瑪利亞人領受了上帝的道，就打發彼得和約翰到他們那裏去。

至於我們，我們要專注於祈禱和傳道的事奉。」這話使全會眾都喜悅，就揀選了司提反－他是一個滿有信心和聖靈的人；他們又揀選了腓利、伯羅哥羅、尼迦挪、提門、巴米拿，並皈依猶太教的安提阿人尼哥拉，

這事在王與全會眾眼中都看為合宜。

上帝也按手在猶大人身上，使他們一心遵行王與眾領袖照着耶和華的話所發的命令。

我們認為，既然我們同心定意，就揀選幾個人，派他們同我們所親愛的巴拿巴和保羅到你們那裏去。

有幾個人從猶太下來，教導弟兄們說：「你們若不按照摩西的規矩受割禮，不能得救。」保羅和巴拿巴跟他們發生了激烈的爭執和辯論；大家就決定指派保羅、巴拿巴和本會的幾個人，為所辯論的事上耶路撒冷去見使徒和長老。

這風聲傳到耶路撒冷教會的人耳中，他們就打發巴拿巴到安提阿去。
