And they proposed two: Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.

But when her masters saw that their hope of profit was gone, they seized Paul and Silas and dragged them into the marketplace to the authorities.

but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”And the saying pleased the whole multitude. And they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit, and Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas, a proselyte from Antioch,

And the matter pleased the king and all the assembly.

Also the hand of God was on Judah to give them singleness of heart to obey the command of the king and the leaders, at the word of the Lord.

it seemed good to us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,

And certain men came down from Judea and taught the brethren,“ Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved.”Therefore, when Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and dispute with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas and certain others of them should go up to Jerusalem, to the apostles and elders, about this question.

Then news of these things came to the ears of the church in Jerusalem, and they sent out Barnabas to go as far as Antioch.
