我們就差遣猶大和西拉，他們要親口報告同樣的事。

我藉着西拉、我所認為忠信的兄弟、略略地寫信、來勸勉你們，並見證這是上帝真實的恩。在這恩上你們務要站立得住。

保羅卻選擇了西拉而出發，蒙弟兄們交託在主的恩典中。

看監獄的要了燈光，就蹦跳衝進去，戰戰兢兢，拜倒在保羅西拉面前；

弟兄們立刻送保羅出城、直到海邊；西拉和提摩太還留頓在那裏。

大約在半夜裏，保羅和西拉直禱告唱詩頌讚上帝，囚犯們直注意聽着。

西拉和提摩太從馬其頓下來的時候，保羅正為這道所催迫，專向猶太人鄭重地證明上帝所膏立者就是耶穌。

於是他們提舉了兩個人：就是那叫巴撒巴、又稱為猶士都的約瑟、和馬提亞。

使女的主人們見他們作生意的指望丟失了，便拉住保羅和西拉，拖到廣場上的官吏面前，

保羅、西拉和提摩太、寫信給帖撒羅尼迦人的教會，在我們的父上帝和主耶穌基督裏的。

他們中間有些人受了勸，就附從保羅和西拉，有一大羣虔敬的希利尼人，做領袖的婦女也不少。

弟兄們隨即乘夜打發保羅西拉出行，往庇哩亞去。他們到了那裏，就進入猶太人的會堂。

寫信、經他們手帶去，說：『做使徒和長老的弟兄們、給在安提阿、敍利亞、基利家一帶外國中的弟兄們請安。

眾民領會了，大家都很滿意；凡王所行的、眾民都很滿意。

在耶路撒冷的使徒聽見撒瑪利亞接受了上帝之道，就差遣彼得約翰往他們那裏去；

我們呢、便可以恆心專務於禱告和傳道的職事。』這話使全羣的眾人都滿意，他們就揀選一個充滿着信心和聖靈的人司提反、以及腓利、伯羅哥羅、尼迦挪、提門、巴米拿，和歸依猶太教的安提阿人尼哥拉；

王和全體大眾都以這樣為對。

上帝的手也用力在猶大中、使猶大人一心遵行王和大臣們憑永恆主的話所發的命令。

我們就同心合意、定意揀選人，差他們、同我們親愛的巴拿巴和保羅、去見你們；

有幾個人從猶太下來，教訓弟兄們說：『你們若不按着摩西的規矩受割禮，就不能得救。』在保羅巴拿巴與他們之間、既起了不小的紛爭與辯論，大家就派保羅巴拿巴跟他們中間另幾個人、為了這個問題上耶路撒冷去見使徒和長老。

關於他們的事的傳言、已經到了耶路撒冷教會的人耳中，會眾就差遣巴拿巴出去，直到安提阿。
