Therefore we have sent Judas and Silas, who will personally report the same things by word of mouth.

Both Judas and Silas, who were also prophets themselves, encouraged the brothers and strengthened them with a long message.

I have written you this brief letter through Silvanus( I know him to be a faithful brother) to encourage you and to testify that this is the true grace of God. Take your stand in it!

Then Paul chose Silas and departed, after being commended to the grace of the Lord by the brothers.

Then the jailer called for lights, rushed in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas.

Then the brothers immediately sent Paul away to go to the sea, but Silas and Timothy stayed on there.

About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.

When Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul was occupied with preaching the message and solemnly testified to the Jews that Jesus is the Messiah.

So they proposed two: Joseph, called Barsabbas, who was also known as Justus, and Matthias.

When her owners saw that their hope of profit was gone, they seized Paul and Silas and dragged them into the marketplace to the authorities.

Then some of them were persuaded and joined Paul and Silas, including a great number of God-fearing Greeks, as well as a number of the leading women.

As soon as it was night, the brothers sent Paul and Silas off to Berea. On arrival, they went into the synagogue of the Jews.

They wrote this letter to be delivered by them: From the apostles and the elders, your brothers, To the brothers among the Gentiles in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia: Greetings.

All the people took note of this, and it pleased them. In fact, everything the king did pleased them.

When the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had welcomed God’s message, they sent Peter and John to them.

But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the preaching ministry.”The proposal pleased the whole company. So they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit, and Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolaus, a proselyte from Antioch.

The proposal pleased the king and the congregation,

Also, the power of God was at work in Judah to unite them to carry out the command of the king and his officials by the word of the Lord.

we have unanimously decided to select men and send them to you along with our dearly loved Barnabas and Paul,

Some men came down from Judea and began to teach the brothers:“ Unless you are circumcised according to the custom prescribed by Moses, you cannot be saved!”But after Paul and Barnabas had engaged them in serious argument and debate, the church arranged for Paul and Barnabas and some others of them to go up to the apostles and elders in Jerusalem concerning this controversy.

Then the report about them was heard by the church that was at Jerusalem, and they sent out Barnabas to travel as far as Antioch.
