But Paul and Barnabas didn’t agree with this. They argued strongly with them. So Paul and Barnabas were appointed to go up to Jerusalem. Some other believers were chosen to go with them. They were told to ask the apostles and elders about this question.

And after Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and debate with them, Paul and Barnabas and some of the others were appointed to go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and the elders about this question.

Paul and Barnabas disagreed with them, arguing vehemently. Finally, the church decided to send Paul and Barnabas to Jerusalem, accompanied by some local believers, to talk to the apostles and elders about this question.

After Paul and Barnabas had engaged them in serious argument and debate, Paul and Barnabas and some others were appointed to go up to the apostles and elders in Jerusalem about this issue.

And after Paul and Barnabas had a heated argument and debate with them, the brothers determined that Paul and Barnabas and some others of them should go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and elders concerning this issue.

Therefore, when Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and dispute with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas and certain others of them should go up to Jerusalem, to the apostles and elders, about this question.

過了十四年，我再上耶路撒冷去，巴拿巴同行，也帶了提多一起去。我是奉了啟示上去的；我把在外邦人中所傳的福音對弟兄們說明，我是私下對那些有名望的人說的，免得我現在或是從前都徒然奔跑了。

我雖然是自由的，不受人管轄，但我甘心作了眾人的僕人，為贏得更多的人。對猶太人，我就作猶太人，為要贏得猶太人；對律法以下的人，我雖不在律法以下，還是作律法以下的人，為要贏得律法以下的人。對沒有律法的人，我就作沒有律法的人，為要贏得沒有律法的人；其實我在上帝面前，不是沒有律法，而是在基督的律法之下。對軟弱的人，我就作軟弱的人，為要贏得軟弱的人。對甚麼樣的人，我就作甚麼樣的人。無論如何我總要救一些人。凡我所做的，都是為福音的緣故，為要與人共享這福音的好處。

我很驚訝你們這麼快就離開那位藉着基督之恩呼召你們的上帝，而去隨從別的福音；其實並沒有另一個福音，不過有些人騷擾你們，要把基督的福音更改了。但無論是我們或是天上來的使者，若傳福音給你們，與我們所傳給你們的不同，他該受詛咒！我們已經說了，現在我再說，若有人傳福音給你們，與你們以往所領受的不同，他該受詛咒！我現在是要得人的心，還是要得上帝的心呢？難道我在討人的喜歡嗎？我若仍舊想討人的喜歡，我就不是基督的僕人了。

雖然我靠着基督能放膽吩咐你做該做的事，可是像我這上了年紀的保羅，現在又是為基督耶穌被囚的，寧可憑着愛心求你，

他們經過各城，把耶路撒冷使徒和長老所決定的規條交給門徒遵守。

所以我們派猶大和西拉去，他們也會親口述說這些事。

聖靈吩咐我和他們同去，不要疑惑，還有這六位弟兄也跟我一起去，我們進了那人的家。

你若這樣做，上帝也這樣吩咐你，你就能承受得住，眾百姓也可以和睦地回到自己的地方。」

但我想，我一點也不在那些超級使徒以下。

我們認為，既然我們同心定意，就揀選幾個人，派他們同我們所親愛的巴拿巴和保羅到你們那裏去。

彼得就請他們進去住宿。次日，他起身和他們同去，還有約帕的幾個弟兄跟他一起去。

親愛的，我一直很迫切地想要寫信給你們，論到我們同享的救恩，但我覺得有必要現在就寫信勸你們，要為從前一次交付給聖徒的真道竭力奮鬥。

第二天，保羅同我們去見雅各；所有的長老也都在場。

可是，為要使福音的真理仍存在你們中間，我們一點也沒有讓步順服他們。
