“ Therefore I conclude that we should not cause extra difficulty for those among the Gentiles who are turning to God,

吾意異邦人之歸順天主者、吾人不當再強其所難；

Therefore, in my judgment, we should not cause difficulties for those among the Gentiles who turn to God,

Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:

Therefore my judgment is that we don’t trouble those from among the Gentiles who turn to God,

For it seemed best to the Holy Spirit and to us not to place any greater burden on you than these necessary rules:

Since we have heard that some have gone out from among us with no orders from us and have confused you, upsetting your minds by what they said,

Return to the LORD and repent! Say to him:“ Completely forgive our iniquity; accept our penitential prayer, that we may offer the praise of our lips as sacrificial bulls.

not that there really is another gospel, but there are some who are disturbing you and wanting to distort the gospel of Christ.But even if we( or an angel from heaven) should preach a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be condemned to hell!As we have said before, and now I say again, if any one is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, let him be condemned to hell!Am I now trying to gain the approval of people, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a slave of Christ!

but I declared to those in Damascus first, and then to those in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, performing deeds consistent with repentance.

The wicked need to abandon their lifestyle and sinful people their plans. They should return to the LORD, and he will show mercy to them, and to their God, for he will freely forgive them.

For people everywhere report how you welcomed us and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God

So now why are you putting God to the test by placing on the neck of the disciples a yoke that neither our ancestors nor we have been able to bear?
