經過許多辯論之後，彼得站起來對大家說：「弟兄們，你們都知道，上帝早已在你們當中揀選我去向外族人傳道，讓他們也可以聽到福音並信主。洞悉人心的上帝把聖靈賜給他們，正如賜給我們一樣，以表明祂也接納外族人。上帝對他們和我們一視同仁，祂因他們的信心而潔淨了他們的心靈。

就是你為萬民所預備的救恩。這救恩是啟示外族人的光，也是你以色列子民的榮耀。」

因為萬物都源於祂，倚靠祂，歸於祂。願榮耀歸給祂，直到永遠。阿們！

我們從祂領受了恩典並成為使徒，要帶領萬民信從祂，使祂的名得榮耀。

由於上帝的憐憫，清晨的曙光必從高天普照我們，

「主——以色列的上帝當受稱頌，因祂眷顧、救贖了自己的子民，

但你們是蒙揀選的族群，是君尊的祭司，是聖潔的國度，是上帝的子民，因此你們可以宣揚上帝的美德。祂曾呼召你們離開黑暗，進入祂奇妙的光明。從前你們不是上帝的子民，現在卻作了祂的子民；從前你們未蒙憐憫，現在卻蒙了憐憫。
