藉着各樣的禱告和祈求、時時刻刻用心靈祈禱；以十二分的恆心專在這事上覺醒着，為眾聖徒祈求，也替我求，使我在開口時、得到適當的話語，可以放膽無懼播知福音的奧祕（為了這個、我做帶鎖鍊的大使），使我在這上頭放膽無懼、照所應該講的來講。

那些人呢、就出去，各處宣傳；主一同工作，用緊隨着的神迹證實所傳的道。

夜間主藉着在異象對保羅說；『別怕了，你只管講，不要緘默；因為我與你同在，必沒有人會襲擊你來苦害你；因為在這城裏、我有許多子民。』保羅在那裏居留了一年零六個月，在他們中間教授上帝之道。

但我要仍住在以弗所、直到五旬節；因為有寬大而有效力的門為我開着；敵對的人也多。

我們呢、就是這些事的見證。上帝對服從他權柄的人所賜的聖靈也作見證。』

但我不為性命作甚麼計算，而看為對自己有價值；比較起來，倒不如完盡了我的跑程、和我從主耶穌所領受的執事職任，鄭重證明上帝恩惠之福音。

不，你們知道、我們從前在腓立比雖受了苦，又被凌辱，卻還靠着我們的上帝放膽無懼，以極大的奮鬥對你們講上帝的福音。

我不以福音為恥；這福音是上帝的能力，要救一切信的人，先猶太人，而後希利尼人。

保羅和巴拿巴卻放膽直說：『上帝之道先對你們講、是必須的，你們既把它推開，斷定自己為不配得永生的，那你就看吧，我們轉向外國人了。

這事行了兩年，以致凡住亞西亞的、都聽見主的道，不但有猶太人、也有希利尼人。上帝藉着保羅的手行了非常的異能，甚至連手巾或圍巾也從他肌膚上被帶走，去放在患病的人身上，疾病就消退，惡靈也出來。

許多神迹奇事、藉着使徒的手、在民間行了出來。眾人都同心合意的在所羅門廊之下。會外的人沒有一個敢接近使徒的；人民卻尊重他們。信主的人越發增加，一羣一羣的人、不但有男的，也有女的。

『以色列人哪，你們要聽這些話：拿撒勒人耶穌、一個蒙上帝用異能奇事神迹向你們所證許的人；（這一切事、照你們自己所知道的、是上帝藉着他在你們中間施行過的）；

耶穌就對他說：『若不看見神迹奇事，你們總是不信的。』
