使徒知道了，就逃到呂高尼的路司得和特庇兩個城，以及周圍地方去，

後來，保羅來到特庇，又到路司得。在那裏有一個門徒，名叫提摩太，是信主的猶太婦人的兒子，他父親卻是希臘人。

找着了，就帶他到安提阿去。他們足有一年和教會一同聚集，教導了許多人。門徒稱為「基督徒」是從安提阿開始的。

有一個少年，名叫猶推古，坐在窗口上，沉沉入睡。保羅講了多時，少年睡熟了，從三層樓上掉下去，扶起來時已經死了。保羅下去，伏在他身上，抱着他，說：「你們不要慌亂，他還有氣呢！」保羅又上樓去，擘餅，吃了，再講了許久，直到天亮才離開。他們把那活過來的孩子帶走，大家得到很大的安慰。

自己心裏也斷定是必死無疑，這是要使我們不依靠自己，只依靠使死人復活的上帝。他曾救我們脫離那極大的死亡，他要繼續救我們，而且我們指望他將來還要救我們。

騷亂平定以後，保羅請門徒來，勸勉了他們，就辭別他們，往馬其頓去。

二人在那裏同門徒住了一段日子。

二人出了監牢，往呂底亞家裏去，見了弟兄們，勸慰他們一番，就離開了。

似乎不為人所知，卻是人所共知；似乎是死了，卻是活着；似乎受懲罰，卻沒有被處死；

彼得做個手勢，要他們不作聲，就告訴他們主怎樣領他出監；又說：「你們要把這些事告訴雅各和眾弟兄。」然後，他離開往別處去了。

他們作完見證的時候，那從無底坑裏上來的獸要跟他們交戰，並且得勝，把他們殺了。他們的屍首將倒在大城的街道上；這城按着靈意叫所多瑪，又叫埃及，就是他們的主釘十字架的地方。從各民族、支派、語言、邦國中有人觀看他們的屍首三天半，又不許人把屍首安放在墳墓裏。住在地上的人會因他們而歡喜快樂，互相饋送禮物，因為這兩位先知曾使住在地上的人受痛苦。過了這三天半，有生命的氣息從上帝那裏進入他們裏面，他們就站起來；看見他們的人都大大懼怕。兩位先知聽見有大聲音從天上對他們說：「上這裏來。」他們就駕着雲上了天，他們的仇敵也看見了。

堅固門徒的心，勸他們持守他們的信仰，說：「我們進入上帝的國，必須經歷許多艱難。」
