使徒知道了，就逃到吕高尼的路司得和特庇两个城，以及周围地方去，

后来，保罗来到特庇，又到路司得。在那里有一个门徒，名叫提摩太，是信主的犹太妇人的儿子，他父亲却是希腊人。

找着了，就带他到安提阿去。他们足有一年和教会一同聚集，教导了许多人。门徒称为“基督徒”是从安提阿开始的。

有一个少年，名叫犹推古，坐在窗口上，沉沉入睡。保罗讲了多时，少年睡熟了，从三层楼上掉下去，扶起来时已经死了。保罗下去，伏在他身上，抱着他，说：“你们不要慌乱，他还有气呢！”保罗又上楼去，擘饼，吃了，再讲了许久，直到天亮才离开。他们把那活过来的孩子带走，大家得到很大的安慰。

自己心里也断定是必死无疑，这是要使我们不依靠自己，只依靠使死人复活的上帝。他曾救我们脱离那极大的死亡，他要继续救我们，而且我们指望他将来还要救我们。

骚乱平定以后，保罗请门徒来，劝勉了他们，就辞别他们，往马其顿去。

二人在那里同门徒住了一段日子。

二人出了监牢，往吕底亚家里去，见了弟兄们，劝慰他们一番，就离开了。

似乎不为人所知，却是人所共知；似乎是死了，却是活着；似乎受惩罚，却没有被处死；

彼得做个手势，要他们不作声，就告诉他们主怎样领他出监；又说：“你们要把这些事告诉雅各和众弟兄。”然后，他离开往别处去了。

他们作完见证的时候，那从无底坑里上来的兽要跟他们交战，并且得胜，把他们杀了。他们的尸首将倒在大城的街道上；这城按着灵意叫所多玛，又叫埃及，就是他们的主钉十字架的地方。从各民族、支派、语言、邦国中有人观看他们的尸首三天半，又不许人把尸首安放在坟墓里。住在地上的人会因他们而欢喜快乐，互相馈送礼物，因为这两位先知曾使住在地上的人受痛苦。过了这三天半，有生命的气息从上帝那里进入他们里面，他们就站起来；看见他们的人都大大惧怕。两位先知听见有大声音从天上对他们说：“上这里来。”他们就驾着云上了天，他们的仇敌也看见了。

坚固门徒的心，劝他们持守他们的信仰，说：“我们进入上帝的国，必须经历许多艰难。”
