他們看透了情勢，就逃難到呂高尼的路司得特庇兩個城、和周圍地區；

保羅也抵達了特庇和路司得。在那裏有一個門徒、名叫提摩太，是一個信徒猶太婦人的兒子，父親是希利尼人。

找着了，就帶到安提阿去。二人在教會中聚集在一起、竟有一整年，教訓了好大羣人。門徒稱為「基督徒」，最先是在安提阿起的。

有一個壯年人名叫猶推古、坐在窗臺上，漸漸地被沉睡勝過了。保羅講論長些，壯年人被睡眠所勝過，就從三層樓上掉下去；扶起來，已經死了。但是保羅下去，伏在他身上，擁抱着他說：『別鬧亂嘈嗷了！他還有活氣呢。』就上去，擘餅來喫，又談論了好久，直到破曉才出發。他們把那活着的僮僕帶去，無限地得了安慰。

自己心裏也已斷定必死。這是要使我們不倚靠自己，乃倚靠那叫死人活起來的上帝。他已經援救我們脫離這麼大的死亡，將來還要援救；我們一向所寄望的他、將來還要援救。

鬧亂平息了之後，保羅就打發人去邀請門徒來，加以鼓勵，然後辭別出發，往馬其頓去。

於是同門徒暫住了不少時候。

二人從監裏出來，進呂底亞家裏；見了弟兄，就鼓勵他們；然後出行。

似乎是人所不知，卻是人所共知的；似乎正在死，你看，我們卻活着呢；似乎受懲罰管教，卻沒有被處死；

彼得擺手叫他們別出聲，就向他們敘說主怎樣領他出監；又說：『你們要把這些事向雅各和弟兄們報告。』就出來，往別處去了。

他們作完了他們的見證時，那從無底坑裏上來的獸必對他們作戰，勝過他們，殺死他們。他們的屍體必倒在那大城的街道上。這城按靈意叫所多瑪，叫埃及，又是他們的主被釘十字架的地方。從許多民許多族許多種語言的人和許多邦國中、人們必觀看他們的屍體三天半，又不許人把他們的屍體安放在塋墓裏。為了他們的緣故、住在地上的人就歡喜快樂，彼此送禮，因為這兩位神言人實在叫住在地上的人受了苦痛。三天半以後、有生氣從上帝那裏進入他們裏面，他們就挺起腿來站着，觀看的人大為懼怕。他們聽見有大聲音從天上對他們說：『上這裏來！』他們就駕雲上天，他們的仇敵也看着他們。

堅固門徒的心，鼓勵他們要堅守信仰。又說我們要進上帝的國、經由許多苦難是必須的。』
