兩人知道了，就逃往呂高尼的路司得和特庇兩城，以及周圍的地方，

保羅來到了特庇，又到了路司得。在那裡有一個門徒，名叫提摩太，是一個信主的猶太婦人的兒子，父親卻是希臘人。

找到了，就帶他來安提阿。足足有一年，他們一同在教會聚集，教導了許多人。門徒稱為基督徒，是從安提阿開始的。

有一個少年人，名叫猶推古，坐在窗臺上，因為保羅講得很長，他很困倦，沉沉地睡著了，就從三樓跌下來；把他扶起來的時候，已經死了。保羅走下去，伏在他身上；把他抱住，說：“你們不要驚慌，他還活著。”隨即回到樓上，擘餅吃了，又講了很久，直到天亮才走。他們把活著的孩子帶走，得到很大的安慰。

而且斷定自己是必死的了；然而，這正是要我們不倚靠自己，只倚靠那叫死人復活的神。他救我們脫離了那極大的死亡，而且他還要救我們，我們希望他將來仍要救我們。

騷亂平息以後，保羅派人把門徒請了來，勸勉一番，就辭別起行，往馬其頓去。

兩人同門徒住了不少日子。

兩人出了監，就到呂底亞的家裡去，見了弟兄們，勸勉他們一番，就離開了。

好像是人所不知的，卻是人所共知的；好像是必死的，你看，我們卻是活著的；好像是受懲罰的，卻沒有處死；

彼得作了一個手勢，要他們安靜，然後對他們述說主怎樣領他出監，又說：“你們把這些事告訴雅各和眾弟兄。”就離開那裡，到別的地方去了。

他們作完了見證的時候，那從無底坑上來的獸要跟他們作戰，勝過他們，把他們殺死。他們的屍首要倒在大城的街道上。這城按著寓意叫所多瑪，又叫埃及，就是他們的主被釘十字架的地方。從各民族、各支派、各方言和各邦國中，都有人觀看他們的屍首三天半，又不許人把屍首安放在墳墓裡。住在地上的人為了他們的緣故，就歡喜快樂，彼此送禮，因為這兩位先知曾經使他們受痛苦。過了三天半，有生命的氣息從神那裡來，進入他們裡面，他們就站立起來，看見他們的人都非常懼怕。他們聽見從天上來的大聲音，對他們說：“上這裡來！”他們就駕著雲上了天，他們的仇敵也看見了。

堅固門徒的心，勸他們恆守所信的道，又說：“我們進入神的國，必須經歷許多苦難。”
