because that which is known of God is revealed in them, for God revealed it to them.For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse.

Yahweh will open to you his good treasure in the sky, to give the rain of your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You will lend to many nations, and you will not borrow.

“ Be glad then, you children of Zion, and rejoice in Yahweh, your God; for he gives you the early rain in just measure, and he causes the rain to come down for you, the early rain and the latter rain, as before.

lest, when you have eaten and are full, and have built fine houses and lived in them;and when your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver and your gold is multiplied, and all that you have is multiplied;then your heart might be lifted up, and you forget Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage;

then I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.

They don’t say in their heart,‘ Let’s now fear Yahweh our God, who gives rain, both the former and the latter, in its season; who preserves to us the appointed weeks of the harvest.’

Your loving kindness, Yahweh, is in the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the skies.Your righteousness is like the mountains of God. Your judgments are like a great deep. Yahweh, you preserve man and animal.How precious is your loving kindness, God! The children of men take refuge under the shadow of your wings.

to cause it to rain on a land where there is no man, on the wilderness, in which there is no man,to satisfy the waste and desolate ground, to cause the tender grass to grow?Does the rain have a father? Or who fathers the drops of dew?

I will make them and the places around my hill a blessing. I will cause the shower to come down in its season. There will be showers of blessing.

Are there any among the vanities of the nations that can cause rain? Or can the sky give showers? Aren’t you he, Yahweh our God? Therefore we will wait for you; for you have made all these things.

Yahweh is good to all. His tender mercies are over all his works.

After many days, Yahweh’s word came to Elijah, in the third year, saying,“ Go, show yourself to Ahab; and I will send rain on the earth.”

Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain, and it didn’t rain on the earth for three years and six months.He prayed again, and the sky gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.

and behold, joy and gladness, killing cattle and killing sheep, eating meat and drinking wine:“ Let’s eat and drink, for tomorrow we will die.”

that they should seek the Lord, if perhaps they might reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.‘ For in him we live, move, and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said,‘ For we are also his offspring.’

Yahweh, how many are your works! In wisdom, you have made them all. The earth is full of your riches.There is the sea, great and wide, in which are innumerable living things, both small and large animals.There the ships go, and leviathan, whom you formed to play there.These all wait for you, that you may give them their food in due season.You give to them; they gather. You open your hand; they are satisfied with good.

But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing back; and your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High; for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil.

You, God, sent a plentiful rain. You confirmed your inheritance when it was weary.Your congregation lived therein. You, God, prepared your goodness for the poor.

I will lay it a wasteland. It won’t be pruned or hoed, but it will grow briers and thorns. I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain on it.”

Sing to Yahweh with thanksgiving. Sing praises on the harp to our God,who covers the sky with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes grass grow on the mountains.

Why do you boast of mischief, mighty man? God’s loving kindness endures continually.

Charge those who are rich in this present world that they not be arrogant, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy;

that you may be children of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust.

You visit the earth, and water it. You greatly enrich it. The river of God is full of water. You provide them grain, for so you have ordained it.You drench its furrows. You level its ridges. You soften it with showers. You bless it with a crop.You crown the year with your bounty. Your carts overflow with abundance.The wilderness grasslands overflow. The hills are clothed with gladness.The pastures are covered with flocks. The valleys also are clothed with grain. They shout for joy! They also sing.

The heavens declare the glory of God. The expanse shows his handiwork.Day after day they pour out speech, and night after night they display knowledge.There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.Their voice has gone out through all the earth, their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun,

They took fortified cities and a rich land, and possessed houses full of all good things, cisterns dug out, vineyards, olive groves, and fruit trees in abundance. So they ate, were filled, became fat, and delighted themselves in your great goodness.

The eyes of all wait for you. You give them their food in due season.You open your hand, and satisfy the desire of every living thing.

For he says to the snow,‘ Fall on the earth,’ likewise to the shower of rain, and to the showers of his mighty rain.
