that He will provide rain for your land in its season, the early and late rain, so that you may gather your grain, your new wine, and your oil.

because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them.For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, being understood by what has been made, so that they are without excuse.

The Lord will open for you His good storehouse, the heavens, to give rain to your land in its season and to bless every work of your hand; and you will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow.

So shout for joy, you sons of Zion, And rejoice in the Lord your God; For He has given you the early rain for your vindication. And He has brought down for you the rain, The early and latter rain as before.

otherwise, when you eat and are satisfied, and you build good houses and live in them,and when your herds and your flocks increase, and your silver and gold increase, and everything that you have increases,then your heart will become proud and you will forget the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery;

They do not say in their heart,“ Let us now fear the Lord our God, Who gives rain in its season, Both the autumn rain and the spring rain, Who keeps for us The appointed weeks of the harvest.”

Your mercy, Lord, extends to the heavens, Your faithfulness reaches to the skies.Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; Your judgments are like the great deep. Lord, You protect mankind and animals.How precious is Your mercy, God! And the sons of mankind take refuge in the shadow of Your wings.

To bring rain on a land without people, On a desert without a person in it,To satisfy the waste and desolate land, And to make the seeds of grass to sprout?Does the rain have a father? Or who has fathered the drops of dew?

I will make them and the places around My hill a blessing. And I will make showers fall in their season; they will be showers of blessing.

Are there any among the idols of the nations who give rain? Or can the heavens grant showers? Is it not You, Lord our God? Therefore we wait for You, For You are the one who has done all these things.

The Lord is good to all, And His mercies are over all His works.

Now it happened after many days that the word of the Lord came to Elijah in the third year, saying,“ Go, present yourself to Ahab, and I will provide rain on the face of the earth.”

Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months.Then he prayed again, and the sky poured rain and the earth produced its fruit.

Instead, there is joy and jubilation, Killing of cattle and slaughtering of sheep, Eating of meat and drinking of wine:“ Let’s eat and drink, for tomorrow we may die.”

that they would seek God, if perhaps they might feel around for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us;for in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said,‘ For we also are His descendants.’

Lord, how many are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all; The earth is full of Your possessions.There is the sea, great and broad, In which are swarms without number, Animals both small and great.The ships move along there, And Leviathan, which You have formed to have fun in it.They all wait for You To give them their food in due season.You give to them, they gather it up; You open Your hand, they are satisfied with good.

But love your enemies and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil people.

You made plentiful rain fall, God; You confirmed Your inheritance when it was parched.Your creatures settled in it; In Your kindness You provided for the poor, God.

I will lay it waste; It will not be pruned nor hoed, But briars and thorns will come up. I will also command the clouds not to rain on it.”

Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving; Sing praises to our God on the lyre;It is He who covers the heavens with clouds, Who provides rain for the earth, Who makes grass sprout on the mountains.

Why do you boast in evil, you mighty man? The faithfulness of God endures all day long.

Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to set their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy.

so that you may prove yourselves to be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

You visit the earth and cause it to overflow; You greatly enrich it; The stream of God is full of water; You prepare their grain, for so You prepare the earth.You water its furrows abundantly, You settle its ridges, You soften it with showers, You bless its growth.You have crowned the year with Your goodness, And Your paths drip with fatness.The pastures of the wilderness drip, And the hills encircle themselves with rejoicing.The meadows are clothed with flocks And the valleys are covered with grain; They shout for joy, yes, they sing.

The heavens tell of the glory of God; And their expanse declares the work of His hands.Day to day pours forth speech, And night to night reveals knowledge.There is no speech, nor are there words; Their voice is not heard.Their line has gone out into all the earth, And their words to the end of the world. In them He has placed a tent for the sun,

They captured fortified cities and a fertile land. They took possession of houses full of every good thing, Carved out cisterns, vineyards, olive groves, Fruit trees in abundance. So they ate, were filled and put on fat, And lived luxuriously in Your great goodness.

The eyes of all look to You, And You give them their food in due time.You open Your hand And satisfy the desire of every living thing.

For to the snow He says,‘ Fall on the earth,’ And to the downpour and the rain,‘ Be strong.’
