有一个人名叫西门，从前在城里行过邪术，使撒玛利亚的居民惊奇，他又自命不凡，

基拿拿的儿子西底家近前来，打米该雅的脸颊说：“耶和华的灵怎样离开了我，去与你说话呢？”

铜匠亚历山大作了许多恶事陷害我，主必按着他所行的报应他。你也要提防他，因为他极力抵挡我们的话。

那时，省长看见了所发生的事，就信了，因为他惊奇主的教训。

在约帕有一个女门徒，名叫戴比莎，希腊话叫多加；她为人乐善好施。

当年，就是犹大王西底家开始执政的第四年五月，基遍人押朔的儿子哈拿尼雅先知，在耶和华殿中，当着祭司和众民的面前对我说：

他先找到自己的哥哥西门，告诉他：“我们遇见弥赛亚了！”（“弥赛亚”的意思就是“基督”。）

于是哈拿尼雅先知把耶利米先知颈项上的轭取下来，折断了。哈拿尼雅又当着众民面前说：“耶和华这样说：‘两年之内，我必这样从列国的颈项上，折断巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒的轭。’”于是耶利米先知就走了。
