因主如是命我儕、經載天主語基督云、我立爾為異邦人之光、使爾施救至於地極、

主嘗示曰：「我立爾為萬國光、普施救恩於寰宇。」』

For this is what the Lord has commanded us:“‘ I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’”

This is what the Lord has commanded us to do. He said,“‘ I have made you a light for the Gentiles. You will bring salvation to the whole earth.’ ”( Isaiah 49:6)

For so the Lord has commanded us, saying,“‘ I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’”

For the Lord gave us this command when he said,‘ I have made you a light to the Gentiles, to bring salvation to the farthest corners of the earth.’”

For this is what the Lord has commanded us: I have made you a light for the Gentiles to bring salvation to the ends of the earth.”

“ I, the Lord, have called You in righteousness, And will hold Your hand; I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people, As a light to the Gentiles,

A light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, And the glory of Your people Israel.”

“ Look to Me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

“ Thus says the Lord of hosts:‘ Peoples shall yet come, Inhabitants of many cities;The inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying,“ Let us continue to go and pray before the Lord, And seek the Lord of hosts. I myself will go also.”Yes, many peoples and strong nations Shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem, And to pray before the Lord.’“ Thus says the Lord of hosts:‘ In those days ten men from every language of the nations shall grasp the sleeve of a Jewish man, saying,“ Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.”’”

Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles! Laud Him, all you peoples!For His merciful kindness is great toward us, And the truth of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord!

That Your way may be known on earth, Your salvation among all nations.Let the peoples praise You, O God; Let all the peoples praise You.Oh, let the nations be glad and sing for joy! For You shall judge the people righteously, And govern the nations on earth. SelahLet the peoples praise You, O God; Let all the peoples praise You.Then the earth shall yield her increase; God, our own God, shall bless us.God shall bless us, And all the ends of the earth shall fear Him.

The Lord has made bare His holy arm In the eyes of all the nations; And all the ends of the earth shall see The salvation of our God.

“ Yet the number of the children of Israel Shall be as the sand of the sea, Which cannot be measured or numbered. And it shall come to pass In the place where it was said to them,‘ You are not My people,’ There it shall be said to them,‘ You are sons of the living God.’

The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.

“ Behold! My Servant whom I uphold, My Elect One in whom My soul delights! I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles.

The Lord has made known His salvation; His righteousness He has revealed in the sight of the nations.He has remembered His mercy and His faithfulness to the house of Israel; All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

When it shall be thus in the midst of the land among the people, It shall be like the shaking of an olive tree, Like the gleaning of grapes when the vintage is done.They shall lift up their voice, they shall sing; For the majesty of the Lord They shall cry aloud from the sea.Therefore glorify the Lord in the dawning light, The name of the Lord God of Israel in the coastlands of the sea.From the ends of the earth we have heard songs:“ Glory to the righteous!” But I said,“ I am ruined, ruined! Woe to me! The treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously, Indeed, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously.”

Behold, the former things have come to pass, And new things I declare; Before they spring forth I tell you of them.”Sing to the Lord a new song, And His praise from the ends of the earth, You who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, You coastlands and you inhabitants of them!Let the wilderness and its cities lift up their voice, The villages that Kedar inhabits. Let the inhabitants of Sela sing, Let them shout from the top of the mountains.Let them give glory to the Lord, And declare His praise in the coastlands.

The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.Now it shall come to pass in the latter days That the mountain of the LORD’s house Shall be established on the top of the mountains, And shall be exalted above the hills; And all nations shall flow to it.Many people shall come and say,“ Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law, And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

All the ends of the world Shall remember and turn to the Lord, And all the families of the nations Shall worship before You.For the kingdom is the LORD’s, And He rules over the nations.All the prosperous of the earth Shall eat and worship; All those who go down to the dust Shall bow before Him, Even he who cannot keep himself alive.

Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! Sing to the Lord, all the earth.Sing to the Lord, bless His name; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.

So shall they fear The name of the Lord from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun; When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.“ The Redeemer will come to Zion, And to those who turn from transgression in Jacob,” Says the Lord.

In His days the righteous shall flourish, And abundance of peace, Until the moon is no more.He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, And from the River to the ends of the earth.

That they may possess the remnant of Edom, And all the Gentiles who are called by My name,” Says the Lord who does this thing.

Many nations shall come and say,“ Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion the law shall go forth, And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.He shall judge between many peoples, And rebuke strong nations afar off; They shall beat their swords into plowshares, And their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, Neither shall they learn war anymore.

Then He said to me,‘ Depart, for I will send you far from here to the Gentiles.’”

And He said to them,“ Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

But the Lord said to him,“ Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel.

“ Many nations shall be joined to the Lord in that day, and they shall become My people. And I will dwell in your midst. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent Me to you.

For from the rising of the sun, even to its going down, My name shall be great among the Gentiles; In every place incense shall be offered to My name, And a pure offering; For My name shall be great among the nations,” Says the Lord of hosts.

Simon has declared how God at the first visited the Gentiles to take out of them a people for His name.And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written:‘ After this I will return And will rebuild the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down; I will rebuild its ruins, And I will set it up;

“ For then I will restore to the peoples a pure language, That they all may call on the name of the Lord, To serve Him with one accord.From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia My worshipers, The daughter of My dispersed ones, Shall bring My offering.

and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Then the remnant of Jacob Shall be in the midst of many peoples, Like dew from the Lord, Like showers on the grass, That tarry for no man Nor wait for the sons of men.

that the Christ would suffer, that He would be the first to rise from the dead, and would proclaim light to the Jewish people and to the Gentiles.”

I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you,to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’

O Lord, my strength and my fortress, My refuge in the day of affliction, The Gentiles shall come to You From the ends of the earth and say,“ Surely our fathers have inherited lies, Worthlessness and unprofitable things.”
