“ Brothers, listen! We are here to proclaim that through this man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins.

是以兄弟宜知罪之赦、由斯人宣於爾、

兄弟宜知賴此人名、傳赦罪之道與爾、

兄弟乎、爾當知賴此人可得罪赦、此道今傳於爾曹、

兄弟須知赦罪之道、端賴耶穌而傳。

“ Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you.

“ My friends, here is what I want you to know. I announce to you that your sins can be forgiven because of what Jesus has done.

Let it be known to you therefore, brothers, that through this man forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you,

Therefore, let it be known to you, brothers and sisters, that through this man forgiveness of sins is being proclaimed to you.

Therefore let it be known to you, brothers, that through Him forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you,

Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins;

Be it known unto you therefore, brethren, that through this man is proclaimed unto you remission of sins:

Therefore, let it be known to you, brothers, that through this man forgiveness of sins is being proclaimed to you,

Be it known unto you therefore, men[ and] brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:

Therefore let it be known to you, brothers, that through this one forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you,

Be it known to you therefore, brothers, that through this man is proclaimed to you remission of sins,

It was also written that this message would be proclaimed in the authority of his name to all the nations, beginning in Jerusalem:‘ There is forgiveness of sins for all who repent.’

And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him.For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead,“ Come back to God!”For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.

I am writing to you who are God’s children because your sins have been forgiven through Jesus.

Then God put him in the place of honor at his right hand as Prince and Savior. He did this so the people of Israel would repent of their sins and be forgiven.

Peter replied,“ Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

But remember, says the Sovereign Lord, I am not doing this because you deserve it. O my people of Israel, you should be utterly ashamed of all you have done!

Then Peter stepped forward with the eleven other apostles and shouted to the crowd,“ Listen carefully, all of you, fellow Jews and residents of Jerusalem! Make no mistake about this.

This is an illustration pointing to the present time. For the gifts and sacrifices that the priests offer are not able to cleanse the consciences of the people who bring them.For that old system deals only with food and drink and various cleansing ceremonies— physical regulations that were in effect only until a better system could be established.So Christ has now become the High Priest over all the good things that have come. He has entered that greater, more perfect Tabernacle in heaven, which was not made by human hands and is not part of this created world.With his own blood— not the blood of goats and calves— he entered the Most Holy Place once for all time and secured our redemption forever.Under the old system, the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer could cleanse people’s bodies from ceremonial impurity.Just think how much more the blood of Christ will purify our consciences from sinful deeds so that we can worship the living God. For by the power of the eternal Spirit, Christ offered himself to God as a perfect sacrifice for our sins.

So I want you to know that this salvation from God has also been offered to the Gentiles, and they will accept it.”

who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.

He is the one all the prophets testified about, saying that everyone who believes in him will have their sins forgiven through his name.”

Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sin is put out of sight!

Where is another God like you, who pardons the guilt of the remnant, overlooking the sins of his special people? You will not stay angry with your people forever, because you delight in showing unfailing love.Once again you will have compassion on us. You will trample our sins under your feet and throw them into the depths of the ocean!You will show us your faithfulness and unfailing love as you promised to our ancestors Abraham and Jacob long ago.

But you offer forgiveness, that we might learn to fear you.

Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.

Let me clearly state to all of you and to all the people of Israel that he was healed by the powerful name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, the man you crucified but whom God raised from the dead.

O Israel, hope in the Lord; for with the Lord there is unfailing love. His redemption overflows.

He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.

For it is not possible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.That is why, when Christ came into the world, he said to God,“ You did not want animal sacrifices or sin offerings. But you have given me a body to offer.You were not pleased with burnt offerings or other offerings for sin.Then I said,‘ Look, I have come to do your will, O God— as is written about me in the Scriptures.’”First, Christ said,“ You did not want animal sacrifices or sin offerings or burnt offerings or other offerings for sin, nor were you pleased with them”( though they are required by the law of Moses).Then he said,“ Look, I have come to do your will.” He cancels the first covenant in order to put the second into effect.For God’s will was for us to be made holy by the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all time.Under the old covenant, the priest stands and ministers before the altar day after day, offering the same sacrifices again and again, which can never take away sins.But our High Priest offered himself to God as a single sacrifice for sins, good for all time. Then he sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand.There he waits until his enemies are humbled and made a footstool under his feet.For by that one offering he forever made perfect those who are being made holy.And the Holy Spirit also testifies that this is so. For he says,“ This is the new covenant I will make with my people on that day, says the Lord: I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.”Then he says,“ I will never again remember their sins and lawless deeds.”And when sins have been forgiven, there is no need to offer any more sacrifices.

In fact, according to the law of Moses, nearly everything was purified with blood. For without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness.

“ A period of seventy sets of seven has been decreed for your people and your holy city to finish their rebellion, to put an end to their sin, to atone for their guilt, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to confirm the prophetic vision, and to anoint the Most Holy Place.

And they will not need to teach their neighbors, nor will they need to teach their relatives, saying,‘ You should know the Lord.’ For everyone, from the least to the greatest, will know me already,” says the Lord.“ And I will forgive their wickedness, and I will never again remember their sins.”

The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said,“ Look! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

“ On that day a fountain will be opened for the dynasty of David and for the people of Jerusalem, a fountain to cleanse them from all their sins and impurity.

And I will forgive their wickedness, and I will never again remember their sins.”When God speaks of a“ new” covenant, it means he has made the first one obsolete. It is now out of date and will soon disappear.

But even if he doesn’t, we want to make it clear to you, Your Majesty, that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up.”

But now Jesus, our High Priest, has been given a ministry that is far superior to the old priesthood, for he is the one who mediates for us a far better covenant with God, based on better promises.
